    Pool hustler rules poster.

Anybody got a picture of that old poster of the "rules for a pool hustler"? Or something like that? It said something like "if you see 2 guys shaking hands, one of them is a sucker". "Never give a sucker a fair rack". Stuff like that. I googled it and couldn't find it. I would see it in...

    Pro Equipment

I always wished I had a list of the players and what tips they used on their cues and if they used low deflection shafts or not. I'd love to know what percentage of pros play with low deflection and if a certain tip stands out as a clear favorite. Anybody ever see a list of such a thing? Thanks.

    Russian pyramid table

Since the balls used in Russian pyramid are bigger are the rails higher up than a standard snooker table? I'm curious if for practice, I can just buy the pyramid balls and use a standard snooker table and it will react the same as in a Russian pyramid tournament? Thanks! Nostrovia.

Anybody have a video of the 90 degree spot shot?

I'm looking for video of the spot shot with the cue ball in the foot corner and shooting object ball off the spot into the opposite bottom corner. Also the Vernon Elliot bank where both balls are frozen on the long rail and the OB goes cross corner. I've got the side pocket version. Thank you all!

    The perfect leather tip?

For years (25 years to be exact) I've searched out the "best" tip for me. Thinking it was a mix of "quality of tip" and "personal preference" to finding the "right tip for me". The tip is so important to how a cue feels and plays. It's often argued that the tip is the biggest factor in the feel...

    Question for old timers@

Anybody know the history of cue tips? What was used during Luther Lassiter and Mosconi and Hoppe time? What was ernie putting on Gina's back in the day? What was on the first balabushkas? Maybe there is some knowledge in the billiards encyclopedia? Anyone care to share some history? Thanks...

    Change my mind. Elkmaster

Change my mind. The reason snooker players love soft elkmaster tips is because those Ash wood shafts have such a horrible hit. I find the same is true with those carbon fiber shafts. Most people use soft tips because the feel is so bad. The carbon shafts are the same accuracy as the best wood...

    5 different strokes?

I heard someone say about 20 years ago that there was 5 different strokes used in 3 cushion. Is this what they meant? The up and through (how do you do this? ) Down and through (choke up on your grip hand sending the tip curving down through the ball- like when the cue ball is against the...

Old fiber ferrules cut like paper

I had some old ferrule material I loved. I want to say they were pretty standard on old house cues in the 70s and 80s..It was matte and off white. It cut a bit more like paper? It turned like papery sheets. I've tried a bit finding then again, but the "fiber" ferrules I found weren't really the...

How often do pros "practice"? What is enough?

I knew a pro that would run drills by himself about 9 hours a day. He treated it like a normal 9-5 job and did it 5 days a week. If there was a tournament on the weekend then it was "extra time on the table". What is enough for most? I'm wanting to play my best and I've got a good system of...

Super Touchy Subject Men vs.Women in Pool

Fargo Ratings have 100 point difference between the top Male and Top female pros. (Meaning the top males play twice as good as the top females). I figure this is because in my rough estimation there is about 100 serious pool players that are men to about every 1 serious players that are women...

    Flat tip vs. Radius

I had a conversation recently with a top very intelligent player. We discussed that many pros use a tip with a radius but then they purposely flatten the top down so it's just curved around the edge. The reasoning was that when you use English you only use the edge anyway. And with center ball...
