    Question: Carom billiards setup

What is the correct setup for carom billiards? I've scoured the internet for pictures, but I cannot seem to find a picture showing the setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If different setups exist for different games, I am specifically looking for the setup for three-cushion billiards.

Question: Nine-ball leaves the table and winner can't be identified on a bar table

So you are playing nine-ball on a bar table (the kind of table where you need to pay to play a game), and you sink the 9-ball, but by some stroke of bad luck, by the time someone notices this, the winner cannot be identified. What happens next? Note that spotting the 9-ball is not an option...

Questions on foul ending the frame when only the black is left

I have a couple of questions regarding a foul on the final black: Why does a foul end the frame when the black is the only object ball left? If all snooker fouls instead awarded penalty points and a ball-in-hand anywhere on the table, would this matter as much?

Poll: Snooker penalty values: variable or fixed

Variable: amount of penalty points awarded for a foul/penalty varies depending on the situation. Fixed: amount of penalty points awarded for a foul/penalty is the same for all fouls and penalties. For the curious, the Wikipedia page on Snooker can be found here.

Question: Could you be awarded multiple free shots in blackball?

I was playtesting Snookerpool (https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/snookerpool.545224/) and came across a situation where my opponent gained 2 free shots. The free shots in Snookerpool were adapted from the free shot rule of blackball. So I wanted to clarify what happens. Would such a...

What happens if you hit both object balls at the same time? Does it count as a carom shot?

    Snookerpool

I am rather fond of snooker, but sadly, the full game cannot be played using American pool equipment. Furthermore, the way fouls are handled in snooker is quite complicated, and in some cases, actually hurts the game fairness-wise (particularly the foul and a miss rule). So I decided to make a...

    Diamondball

I am rather fond of nine-ball, but it seems like that game has some problems, particularly on the break shot, where a soft break with a pattern rack can make an absolute mockery of the game. So I decided to make my own variant of nine-ball that fixed those problems, while also having unique...
