    Ebay Leather Cases

While I have never ordered from Seybert's, the site looks great and they carry some good products. I did purchase an inexpensive In-Stroke style case from Frank's Center, Inc. at the Super Billiards Expo last year. It looks just as good as In-Stroke, it weighs and costs less, and it's held up...

Where do you get your ideas?

This is something that every artist gets asked at some point in time. Where do you, as a custom cuemaker, get the ideas for the designs of your cues? More importantly, do you ever accept or purchase design ideas from outside sources? I teach high school art and dream of being able to incorporate...

Who are the top five players in your state?

New Jersey's Top Five The only player who I know of that lives in NJ and should be considered for the top five is Jose Garcia. I'm sure there are many more. New Jersey sees a lot of great players, but many live in NY or PA. Don't forget that Hopkins, Mizerak, and Mosconi all lived in NJ. Since...

What brand of tip is best?

I'm sure this has been a topic in the past, so I apologize to those who may find this repetitive. I plan on replacing my Hercules tip at the Super Billiards Expo. Are Moori tips really worth the money? Is there a different, less expensive, brand of layered tip that you would recommend instead of...

Allen Hopkins not in the hall of fame?

BackPocket9Ball- Grady is very open about his dislike for the BCA. I think it is unlikely he will ever get get in to the HOF. Nino- If you read Bob Romano 's post regarding the promotion of the Midwest Open, I think you'll agree that there are many "behind the scene" costs that justify the...

    Ewa Over Earl???

When Loree Jon Jones was inducted a few years ago, so was Jim Rempe. Why wasn't Earl or Allen also inducted along with Ewa? My gues is that Earl and Allen must have split the vote, not giving either a clear majority.

I Did The Math... Long Article

Bob- That's a real eye-opener. While I can't attend any of the events in the mid-west area, I wish you the best of luck. Your efforts are appreciated by fans all over.

    Sigel's 150 and out

I've got this tape and I watch it over and over again. It is worth every penny. One of the most amazing things, to me, is that Mike has such control and plays such good position that his cueball touches the head rail less than half a dozen times in the entire run.

Who will win? Ewa, Earl or Allen?

I must disagree with 'Cuda and Joseph. While there is no doubt that Earl Strickland will one day be inducted into the HOF, I think that Allen Hopkins will get the call this year. He was on the ballot a few years ago and is certainly a deserving individual.

    V.I.P Tickets vs. Regualar Tickets

As much as I enjoy Gremlin's photo (I don't recognize her. Who is she?), I have to agree with Kokopuffs. I don't think "VIP" seats are worth the extra money. At the US Open, even when front row seats were available, I chose to sit a little higher up to get a better view of the action.

    Info on Limited Edition Meucci?

I'm looking for info (value) on a limited edition Meucci I purchased in the early 1990's. Somewhere between 1990-1992 I bought it as a gift for my father. It was advertised in Billiards Digest. Its name, "The Champ", appears on the butt plate along with the Meucci logo. The cue has two black...

    2003 US Open 9-Ball Championships

Barry- Best of luck next year. The weather kept me away this year (A six hour drive in a hurricane? No thanks.), but I will be there in '04. Keep up all the good work. The fans of our sport appreciate your efforts. By the way... Tanya you are a great woman. I can't wait to tell my wife about...

    Cue Case

If you're an "A" player, or if money is no object, then go for the Justis. For the rest of us, the Whitten is a great choice.

    Pechauer cues

I also like the J. Pechauer cues. I bought one at the Super Billiards Expo and played with it for a couple of years. They're good looking cues with quality craftsmanship and a great feeling hit. Only a few years ago, when I bought my cue, nobody I spoke to here in NJ ever heard of them but now...

    Pro Express/Texas Express?

While I'm no expert, I don't think there is a difference. My guess is that the term Pro Express is slowly replacing the term Texas Express just because it sounds better and more professional. Wouldn't you rather play in a tournament that uses the professional sounding Pro Express rules rather...
