    SHOUTOUT TO BOB DZURICKY!

Just saw this thread. Thanks for the encouraging words, everyone. I don't recall the circumstances with stikapos' request. The last email from him was 4 yrs ago and discussed a SP, not a shaft. If it was some kind of instant message from within an app, I don't check those unless I get an...

Low deflection ferrule material for Carbon shafts.

Never got it. BTW, several people have contacted me regarding my offer to sell some of the Hydex and I've already sold more than I expected to. If more of you are interested, let me know ASAP and if enough people contact me by the end of the month, I'll order more.

Low deflection ferrule material for Carbon shafts.

I just found this thread and see that nothing has changed on AZB. I first heard about Hydex 202 when Henry Fletcher asked about including it & ABS in my chart. I declined to include ABS because I tried it 30 yrs ago and had tip adhesion problems. Then, Joey sent me a sample of Hydex which...

    Yellow micata

It's listed there as Mason's Micarta. The weight is virtually identical to Ivorine3 and is only surpassed by Tomahawk. I've used it in both rod & tube versions and was my go-to ferrule material until Tomahawk came along. I still use the tube for jump/break shaft ferrules as I have many feet...

    CNC machined Veneer mitering jig

I've since updated the jig to accommodate veneers of different widths. I'll take some pictures this weekend so the unimaginative can make updated copies.

    Glue question for gluing cores

This thread reminded me of an old video in which I hit some balls with a test cue. The points were glued in and the leather wrap was glued on but there are absolutely no other adhesives used in the cue's construction. Even the joint screw was loose, though I forgot to show that. Despite this...

    Cuemaking Equipment scam on Craigslist

The ad was taken down the same day I posted this. As far as I know, nobody fell for it. The $2K minimum buy probably stopped impulse buyers and serious buyers would probably have done their due diligence. Straight shooting everyone!

    Cuemaking Equipment scam on Craigslist

Someone has posted this ad on Craigslist: https://racine.craigslist.org/spo/d/granger-tons-of-billiard-items-business/7509859988.html There is no name, no address, no phone number but there IS a minimum purchase of $2,000. The ONLY name associated with this ad is an old picture from my website...

    Predator extension bumper thread size

I got fed up with emails telling me that my solutions were overkill; that today's glues are sufficient to do the job and threads are virtually unnecessary in cuemaking. So I decided to make several of my more "offensive" videos private. This video is now public.

All-natural cues - does anyone make them?

My 2¢ : In the '90s, I built a few plain jane cues using hot hide glue everywhere. I wanted to minimize creep and hoped the hardness of the glue would contribute to the ping I wanted to hear. While it didn't make any noticeable differences in the end results, it worked very well and at least...

    cleaning house

Update: Gustav contacted me & cleared things up. The shaftwood is gone now but I may have some more in a month or so. Still lots of reorganizing to do. Thanks, everyone, for your interest. Bob

    cleaning house

As the title states, I'm clearing out some stuff as I'm running out of room. I'll start with a set of 3 Birdseye maple forearms. They were roughed down to 1" diameter on the small end in Oct, 2011 and I took a cleanup cut on them today. They are currently at .975" diameter at small end...

Thanks for the links and clarification. Mike's video should come with a warning; the vise grip test is not for the faint of heart :-)
