    Attention pool room owners - grow your business!

    Great idea,all rooms should clean it up and start promoting youth programs once per week. Get the kids involved and off their computers , text , video games and back to Billiards. Perfect way to grow the sport. When I had my room I had a boy scout group in for a Billiard outing and it went over...

    How do we all help improve the image of pocket billiards?

    CJ , I know it is tough now for room owners out there (I have been there) . I see promotions from what I call the (top down) like pro tournament promo , Billiard supply advertising , main forum AZB etc which is geared to people already hooked on our sport. All this is great. I feel if room...

    Afew years ago (HOF) annually added over $20,000 to the Monday & Wednesday tournaments. Plus through the contacts of Ronnie Wiseman we had a continuous flow of the nations top players visiting the room for challenge matched. Was good stuff , who knows,could happen again.

    Did any room have a better 2008 than 2007?

    It seems to me that Bart has the right attitude in promoting the SPORT of Billiards first in his home room. If room owners would promote Billiards first instead of poker,lotto,alcohol they would see a difference in participation. The alcohol can support itself without advertising it,Poker pulls...

    New Room In Greensboro, NC

    If you have Snooker make it a 6x12. This is the traditional and accepted size for Snooker & Golf. May be a good move for you. Keep away from the 3 cushion unless you have a good amount of player in your area. If so ,you should have a minimum of 3 tables to accomodate them. Foosball is a...

    Help please

    Gambling with customers especially if you are a rated local player usually is not good for your business. Unfortunately being in a strong shortstop position your customers may feel you are taking advantage of them (because you own the place,practice at least 5 hours per day,are making all kinds...

    Poker Is Killing The Pool Industry

    you cant keep going back to movies and at the same time promoting poker in your establishment in trying to promote the Billiard business.perhaps that type attitude may be better promoting poker. (I also have been in the Billiard business as a proprietor,manager,shortstop player for many years}

    Poker Is Killing The Pool Industry

    I have read some of the posts that say "what tv did for poker,poker & video games impacted pool,poker is so far ahead of pool,poker is on tv every day,who wants to watch pool on tv it sucks,we are 10 years behind promoting pool vs poker,pool will never be popular on tv,no way billiards or...
