    Case repair or refinishing?

Not sure what section to post this but I have a mid 80's 2X4 It's George case and I was thinking of trying to have it fixed up, it's not horrible but would love to have the interior cleaned and the corners of the pocket repaired if possible. I've sent cues to Proficient Billiards but have no...

    Help me identify this Brunswick

I should have taken pictures of the shims when I took some of these. These were taken at the sellers house. The shims though didn't seem very thick under the slate and the table was level. Is there anything that could/should be done preventative since the table will be apart? Some sort of...

    Help me identify this Brunswick

True I think we have a winner. :) Yeah I was excited when I found this through a friend and how well it had been taken care of. I was thinking the same but I could always upgrade them at a later date.

    Help me identify this Brunswick

Can anyone help me identify this Brunswick table. I just bought this 8' Brunswick in great condition but I'm not sure what model it actually is. The current owner thinks it's about 10 years old but I can't find much online fomr any sort of Brunswick archive. I thought it might be an Avalon II...

    Favorite Stick Look?

See and that's really ugly to me. Sure it takes a ton of talent to be able to do inlays that intricate but it's overkill. Way too busy. Too much going on. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

    League scheduling software?

The largest issue we run into is multiple divisions with multiple teams out of one location. It seems our software we use (League Leader) will be fine when looking for conflicts within a division but not across divisions. Such a pain.

Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Well the ISPA tournament was a lot of fun this year in Des Moines. Not a bad venue but the hotel situation is less than ideal from what most people were saying. I had a blast aside from my linen wrap getting screwed up by a vendor. Needless to say I will be having Divney Cues do all my work...

If you foul, but your opponent doesn't see it, should you call it on yourself?

Is there anyone in this thread that is an actual trained tournament ref? What is their interpretation of the rule. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

Finally ordered my Predator 314 shaft

Well I already have used a Everest tip before but it's been a few years so I don't really remember how it plays compared to the kamui black soft I have on my cue now. I'll probably just use it for a bit and switch to the kamui II soft I have laying around. I just can't decide Sent from my...

    Players Jump Break Cue 701

So I have a Players Jump Break cue that someone gave me and I'm trying to figure out what pin it uses. My 5/16 x 14 joint protector fits over the pin but is loose. It has a quick lock pin that is threaded half way down. On the butt of the cue it has the Players "logo" and then says 701 Any ideas.

Finally ordered my Predator 314 shaft

So I finally felt I'm at a transition point in my game that I ordered a Predator 314^2 shaft for my cue. I'm starting to use more than just draw and follow and really working on ball control. The first tip I had on my cue when I bought it was an Everest tip and I loved it. Since then I have a...

If you foul, but your opponent doesn't see it, should you call it on yourself?

I'm glad I skipped over 20 pages of this thread. I see where you and others are coming from but anyone who says they call 120% of their fouls on themselves I think is full of it. I consider myself a fair player. However I will admit I won't call fouls on myself in certain situations...

If you foul, but your opponent doesn't see it, should you call it on yourself?

This is how I look at it. 95% of the time I don't inform my opponent of a foul is because they aren't paying attention to the game and aren't aware. In our leagues there are no ref's and unless you have a first time player on your team no 3rd party is allowed to call a foul even if they see...

If you foul, but your opponent doesn't see it, should you call it on yourself?

I stopped reading after the first three pages so sorry if I missed something similar to what I'm about to say. There have been many times playing league where you have an opponent not paying attention. Messing with the jukebox, chatting with friends, etc. Now if I foul and this is going on...
