On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Ohio Players There are probably 10 Ohio players that can beat this guy. Not a good state to gamble with pro players.

    Pros not telling you everything.....

Ability and Knowledge I don't think the young guns that play at a high level use aiming systems. They just have alot of natural ability. Similar to a young musician or artist. All the knowledge, time and practice in the world will not get someone to pro caliber. However a visitsto an...

U S Open 1 Pocket Anybody with a handful of Derby City top 20 one pocket finishes the last 5-7 years would be a good candidate.

APA 9-ball, you get a point per ball?

APA 9 ball I played this format a few years ago and learned quickly when giving big ball count spots the importance of early safety play. The most brutal rule though is no pushout after the break. Make a ball on the break, miss your kick and they get an easy table. I lost like this one time...

    Question/advice about turning pro.

In my humble opinion the route to pro status has to be done in stages. Pool 24/7 is probably not the answer. I would say continue working and use all free time to work thru these stages. A few that come to mind. Start beating the 9, 10 ball ghost. Also at some point you should be able to run 100...

    Willie Mosconi's High Run

I feel Willie Mosconi's making over 500 balls without missing is one of pool's greatest achievments ever. I also would never discount any of the legends documented accomplishments. A good exercise for anyone is to take 15 balls and put them one the table. No balls frozen, no balls on the rail...

    Cue Prices... Rediiculous!!!

Cue Prices I am sure some prices are the result of supply and demand. The famous, skilled cuemakers should charge what the market will pay. They have paid their dues and owe us nothing. I doubt any cuemakers are worth millions from build ing custom cues alone. Many markets are set by people...

    The Perfect Tournament...Your Ideas Please...

Most singles tournaments only a small number have any real chance of winning. Why not try scotch doubles, blind draw for partners. Nine ball, race to 7 winners, 5 losers. Most lower level players would be more likely to pay a higher entry fee in hopes of drawing a strong partner. I played this...

Earl was at it again, during the IPT!!!!!

Nick had the responsibility to tell his "gurus" to keep quiet and show respect to his opponent. I would guess it is no coincidence they started their sharking when he was playing Earl. Earl has every right to confront Nick and his gurus. The Tour has responsibility to throw these hecklers out...

    I'll take George Breedloves' offer!

IPT success From the results so far in Vegas, I would say anyone could benefit from spending 6 months in the Phillipines playing pool. Their winning percentage has to be the highest of any group of players.

    Great unknown roadies

Road Players One of the best I had the good fortune to see (early 80's) was the late Gary Pinkowski. A great player, hustler, card thrower, and had a few hand pool tricks as well. Won a big Vegas 9 ball tournament in 1982.
