There are a lot more then 10 in Ohio that would beat gene
Maybe I'll quit teaching for a month and just play........
I'll start with no. 10 on your list and work my way up.
If i beat you on Tuesday and wednesday will I still be able to start with No. 10???????
Just kidding. In all reality I'd have to win $1000 per week just to meet expenses.
Helping players instead of beating them is allot more fun.
Gave a great lesson to Ron Younger. He has been beating Himself up since I've been here trying to understand why he couldn't shoot at his level he was at recently.
He thought he was left eye dominant. He was still making the right eye dominant naturally but it was not in the most dominant position. Once we figured out what was going on it was over. The straight in shot was now going in the hole and the cue ball didn't even wiggle most of the time.
All the answers were there. And he now could cut the balls to the left almost as good as to the right.
This is what's so rewarding and I sure wish there were more players teaching this. This helps every player tremendously. The results are rediculous.
The one thing that's tough is no more lessons so I can get popping those balls in.

I've been thinking about this while reading about your health problems, Gene.
I've been in an MLM company for over 30 years. One of the key principles to long-term income is to find and teach others to do what I do. I'm thinking you had better start doing this soon, what with your health and all.
I'd like to see you do a teacher's school re "perfect" aiming. You could do a group at a time, if enough students are interested in learning to teach your methods. You might be able to get a percentage from each lesson done by your teachers forever.
Anyway, just a suggestion: Don't teach just how-to, teach how to teach it, too. We don't want this aiming system to get lost forever, do we?

I have 2 speeds for sure....
One when i'm on the road giving lessons and playing about 8 hours a week here and there in little local tournys.
The other is when I live on the table for a week to get ready to play someone.
I don't think you have seen both. And many players havn't.
Many times when I play in tournaments I have played only a few hours that week and pretty tired from the road and the lessons and all the crap that you deal with motels.
Today i get started , getting ready.
You'll get my best game. Will it be enough? We'll find out Tuesday.
But it's really hard to put a line on something you've never seen.
And i can guarantee that my game at many of these tournys I play in is an optical illusion of how I am really capable of playing.
Sometimes i jump up and play someone I feel I can beat and don't win.
The next day or the next the tables turn
I finally get there to my high level.
I've never seen your top game maybe but if you don't bring it mentally also you might get surprised.
The good news is i know what I can do.
I was in Olathe once for one of the Camel tour events. I had to play Dave Matlock.
The book had the line that I wouldn't get to 9 in a race to 13 I think.
I took everything out of my pockets that I had. Took all the quarter out of my case and kind of pawned my extra cue to a guy for $500, worth about $1500.
As i was making my bet I was going through my pockets to make sure I didn't miss any money that I had on my body. I bet every penny i had with me.........about $1500
The book looked at me kind of funny. I guess he was happy to get my bet. It was kind of heavy on Daves side.
As I went over to collect my bet the book smiled and said good job.
He made a little score there himself. Nobody bet on me...........Except ME......

Seems like Bartram is doing the majority of the smack talking to me.
I think they are both just saying what they believe is the truth, but Chris is seeing this much more realistically IMO.
If you look at their average speeds this is not a good match for Gene at all. Gene is relying on hitting his top gear in order to have a chance here. With that he still needs Chris not to hit his gear in order for Gene to win. Chris sees this too and he is just being honest here.

I beat Dennis orcollo in the fat boy tourney it was a race to 15 I won 15 6 so the under dog can win a race
But would I want to play Dennis orcollo for money. Heck no
That's the chance gene has vs me. About the same as if I played orcollo

Chris, years ago a guy would be walking around with his notebook laying odds, making lines, and you could bet more than what Gene has said. Times have changed though.
