    It may be that the installer did not stretch the 860 very tight... the tighter it is stretched over the slate, the faster it will be... I have a 9 foot table that recently had 860 installed (very tight)... personally, it's a little faster than I prefer, but since it is a home 'practice' table...

    thanks for your input- I think you're right about the age... I haven't seen this in person, only this photo- checking the web, it looks like this might be a Century or Centurion... asking price is $500,,, maybe an ok deal if it doesn't need extra work.
