Considering that hitting the outside of the nine after going to the bottom rail was the only possible way he could make shape onto the next ball, I'll call it one of the greatest ever jumps in competition.

Can't wait to hear about what you've seen that was, by your account, far more impressive. Please do share.

I consider this to be a much more difficult jump. Although the pressure is much lower for this jump shot the difficulty factor is much higher. This is a very difficult shot just trying to shoot it none the less having to try and jump at it without alot of room away from the ball he is jumping.

Thanks for sharing this is the shot I was talking about either way there both amazing shots from a true champ

Alls I know is that immediately after winning the U.S. Open, Shane posted a photo of himself on Facebook catching a really big fish, about the size of his forearm. I loved that. :grin-square:

Gotta love Shane's zest for life -- aside from pool.

the fact that Shane had to manuever two bridges is what dazzled me so much about this shot. Shane played about as strong as any player has played in a match. Dennis played great too- but just couldn't keep up with Shane's break.

Dont get me wrong I agree that was an incredible shot. The pressure of that shot was immense and it was certainly not easy. He shot it perfect. I have went back and watched it several times. He barely clears the ball he is jumping and lands right behind it. It was spectacular.

I can't find the clip, but there's one of SVB in an Asian tournament, playing 10-ball. He's got a cross-table jump shot on the 3?ball. But instead of calling the OB in the corner pocket (probably blocked), he calls the 10-ball in the corner where he's shooting from. (BTW, the 10-ball is about mid-table; not hanging in a pocket)

He jump-hits the 3-ball into the rail, kicks it into the 10-ball and 10-ball drops in corner pocket.

The brief shot of Jay (in the back ground) shows me how amazing it must have been to witness that shot first hand.
