Burl veneer wrap

I just completed replacing the wrap on a cue I made for a buddy about 6-7 years ago, with a Ash burl veneer. It came out pretty sharp looking. He had a leather wrap, but now wanted to go wrapless, so I did this. It's my first try at it and I think it came out ok. The seam was more work than I hoped for, due to the softness/brittleness of the burl. I won't be doing this to any other cues than those I have made.
here's the pics,

I think it looks excellent. On a light colored wood that must have been really tough. On a dark straight grained piece you might not see it at all. WELL DONE!

Thanks all the kind words. It was an experience. I had some help from a guy at Woodcraft that has a lot of experience working with burl veneers. He turned me on to a product called veneer tamer....worked awesome.
