Shane loses 8-6.

I've never even heard of Geshon Martinez Boza before, but offer him congratulations.

After his graveyard shift match with Pagulayan, I thought that it might be Filler that would fail to give us the coveted SVB/Filler matchup.

We still have three of the world's top five in the event (Chang, Filler, Shaw) so perhaps we'll get a clash of titans before its over.

Didn't Shane win a Predator event in the US in the late 2000's with the World name to it? I think it was in Florida. Might've been 10b too.

They could've easily made this event race to 9.
Only 1 less game to win, but still way too short IMO.

I dont care for this race to 7 and 8 that CSI has been pushing.

There were a couple of those Predator annual events here in Jacksonville around that time frame run by Dragon.

Shane won the Predator World 10-Ball Championship in Jacksonville in 2007. It wasn't a WPA event, but it had a good field.

Just once I'd like to see them ban jump cues in one of these world class events and see who finishes at the top.

A Chang vs. Filler final would be great.

Some excellent matches coming up next on the winner's side, including:

Chua vs. Cheng
Feijen vs. Ouschan
Kazakis vs. Souquet
Alex vs. Little Ko

and Chang vs. Melling on the stream table.

I believe the winners in this round qualify for the final 16.

Yup, those are some great matches, and I like the choice they made for the streamed match.

LOL
just turned on and only saw last 10 mins. Chang wins 8-2 and first through to last 16. That was fast. Average 5minutes per rack , very fast for 10b.
Melling plays Ko Pin Yi at 8pm for place in last 16

Bravo to Bily Thorpe, the first American on to Stage 2 single elimination.

Tyler Styer has a chance to make it two Americans in Stage 2. He must beat Max Lechner in the next stream table match to advance.

Correction: Styer/Lechner will not be streamed. My bad.

Looks like we're going to see Kuribayashi and the loser between Alex and Ko the Younger.
