Running their mouths - that's where they truly shine!

On the other hand when it comes to a snide insult towards Americans you tend to run your mouth at every opportunity.

If we're such a burden to endure perhaps you can find a nice German based billiards forum to frequent sans the ugly Americans. Oh that's right, there isn't one. Put a sock in it.

None.

The current in their prime's US players (except for Shane) simply do not have the firepower of the Asians or Europeans.

Even specialty games like Banks and One Pocket are dominated by the pros from Asia and Europe at the DCC. When a player strikes the ball better, he will beat you at ALL the games, given enough time to learn them. The Asians and Europeans have caught up and surpassed the Americans in every single game on the table.

Straight pool

I'm sorry but your facts are wrong.
The US OPEN STRAIGHT POOL CHAMPIONSHIP (played at Pool Table Magic located in Windsor Locks, Ct), was played on gold crowns.

There were several good reasons for holding it there. It is 5 minutes from an international airport, hotel rates were around $69 with breakfast, hotels are less than 1000 feet from pool tables so no vehicle really needed. Plus it takes money and a commitment to make the event happen. Perhaps you might wish to support the event next year? I was there and the facility was awesome.

Yeah, those German rubber rails on those Diamond Tables! Not all the best players can go to Windsor Fork Connecticut to play! Jezz, who picked that joint? Why not have it at "The Home of Straight Pool", right here in La Habra, California, 10 minutes from Hardtimes, at Scratch Billiards! On good old Gold Crowns! Every Saturday see the best 14.1 players hone their skills!
