this coming Thursday when the Dow Jones Industrial Averages close
the winning number will be the last whole number

example if the dow closes at 23,456.78
the winning number will be 6

further there will be two number 6s

if yours is 6u and the market is up ,
you win this nice cue

if you have 6 D(own and the market is up for the day ,you do not win

Mark suffered a heart attack,to raise money I am giving a new pool cue to one of 20
who donate $110 to mark-

the pool cue special is over,mark receiveed $2000 but
he still needs more help

several others are trying to help

we got 20 donations and a couple of other people sent mark
private donations directly

i hope it tides him over until he starts getting regular business

for those of you who don't know Mark

He was a really good player who quit playing
in order to build tables,repair them,install them etc

His perfectionism served him well,he is known to
get the old Brunswick tables into
great playing condition

I think that would be me, pm sent, but not a lot of confidence in sent pm's. I never get a record of those sent items like with all the other forums I'm a member of. Not complaining, it's probably operator error on my part. I hope you didn't mind me responding on the main forum.

Thanks! Yes it does feel good, especially considering it's all going to a great cause to help a fellow member like Mark. Hope you get to feeling better Mark. I may have some work for you to if you are up to it. The rails in my avatar could use some of your expertise.

Also thanks for the tip on the pm's. One of these days I may have this tech stuff mastered.

Alright got the cue from Dean a few days ago and wanted to post a few pics. I’m not a cue expert by any stretch, but it’s an awesome shooting cue to me. He also wanted to see if you guys could nail down the particulars of who you think the maker is, the type of wood, etc. Having only played with a 1984 McDermott D-2 most of my life I really don’t know much about custom cues. I failed the test big time. I thought I had a clue on the dark wood, but was even wrong about that. About the only thing I got right was the the Birdseye Maple, or at least I think I got that one right.

Anyway, hope Mark is on the mend and back doing what he loves very soon.

Thanks again Dean, this one is a keeper.
