Glad no one was hurt. Situation sounds just like a set up. A crew of four with three armed just happens to jack a random guy sitting in a car in what looks to be full apartment parking lot after the "friend" runs in to get something?

I wonder if that friend will find her purse after Shane leaves town?

Of course depending on what the friend was going to get a random robbery may make some sense.

Here is what Shane posted about that

Yea, only black people stick people up. SMH... I guess the good part about the Trump presidency is that people don't even hide being racist anymore.
How about a realist. Go check out crime stats in the U.S. and you'll see why i said that. The facts here don't lie.

This took place in a kinda sketchy part of town. Sorta half 'hood-half barrio. Various kinds of transactions at all hours if you catch my drift. This wasn't these cats first rodeo, more likely their sole source of income. They'll all get capped pretty soon and no one except grannie is gonna miss em'.

Then the sad part is the cops or victim get prosecuted for shooting a poor defenseless outstanding pillar of society.

🎱

That may be true but in the fine state of Pennsylvania we enjoy extended Castle Doctrine that states we do not have a duty to retreat from any armed suspect we can use lethal force when we are confronted with an armed assailant. Granted when faced with one robber with a gun it is quite different than multiple possibly armed people. I am not sure if I would have just handed over the money so fast or not. Then again I have been robbed several times as I used to deliver pizza and food in some pretty bad places. If you have any doubt hand over the cash if possible without letting them know your armed too. If you could manage to get out of the car to hand it to them and accidentally drop it on the ground at their feet you might have enough time for a head shot and cover the others before they react. A lot of that depends on how willing you are to risk your life and take theirs without hesitation. Hesitation can often turn into death.

My point is if that happened here in PA you would likely not be arrested but would be held for questioning a to give a statement. If you survived and managed to hurt or kill one of the robbers. In this case though there was no indication the victim was armed.

I was playing in a Bar League when I was asked if I could change a 100. The place was packed so I did. My family was in Germany and were going to Munich in the morning so a while later I went outside to a pay phone to call them. My back was tot he parking lot when all of a sudden I looked over my shoulder and saw a young black guy walking towards me. I told my wife I had to go and hung up wanting to get back inside. As I turned another kid materialized from the other side with a knife. By that time the 1st kid was right up next to me and said " never mind him look at me." He had a huge revolver. I reached into my pocket and released as much money from my money clip as I could while still leaving quite a bit in the money clip. I threw the money in the air and as they went for it I turned to run. Stupid I know. Anyway there was an empty flower bed with a 4" edge all around it and I tripped and fell on my face in the empty flower bed. I was waiting for the sound of the gun and to be shot in the back. After about 5 seconds I looked over my shoulder and saw them running across the parking lot towards a Volkswagen Beetle. For several years whenever I saw a couple of black gang bangers paranoia set in. Not an experience that you easily forget.
Oh, they left the money clip which I still have and have had since 1963.

The 38special in my face looked like a trash can. There is a book "In The Gravest Extreme" every gun owner should read. It's very important to have mind set.

.

As I mentioned earlier. My hold guys were white....therefor everyone is a piece of turd out there. The caution level definitely elevates. Florida...gas stations, parking lots are the prime places. Sometimes I'm edgy in a Dunkin Donuts waiting for the boogieman to pop in. To change the subject we can use more jails. Pack em in. Before throwing the book at them ...smash them it the face with it.

What are the odds of the random Joe Blow being held up by whites as opposed to being held up by blacks? Only a fool or another stick-up artist would argue the point. THAT,I think,is what the garczar was getting at. As far as racists, the obamas didn't hide their racism. GO MR. PRESIDENT ELECT DONALD JOHN TRUMP !!!

Black or white it makes no difference. I am white and have been kidnapped, robbed, and generally screwed over by white folks far more than black folks. No matter what you do you need to develop situational awareness in everything you do. If you make yourself a target you just increase your odds of being one. I am always on high alert when I leave any pool hall late at night. Sadly many pool halls have very lax security. No surveillance cameras near the entrance or exits for instance. If your alone always walk to your car with others nearby if possible. Being alone is never good most gals already know that. I don't like ear buds much either they inhibit your ability to hear someone coming up behind you. Be careful and listen to your subconscious mind. If something does not feel right act on that feeling immediately.

Exactly where i was going. If you look at yearly FBI crime stats you'll see why i went there. When 13%(Afr-Am) of the population is responsible for something like 60% of violent crime its not racist to say what i said. Here in Tulsa you're something like 27times more likely to be robbed by Afr-Am. Is what it is.

It is better to own and wear your gun all the time........than own a gun and wish it was here.

Anyone can be caught off guard. It could happen to any of us. That's why environment, awareness and alertness are emphasized in defensive gun training.

As a matter of habit, I typically remove my weapon from my concealment holster when I enter my auto and place it in a position easily reached next to my seat that
is not conspicuous or requires any turning my torso. I holster my weapon before getting out of my car and in doing so, I do a 360" review of where I parked just to be
sure. A gun goes with me everywhere since I have CCW privileges for the past 25 years. It's like picking up my wallet or keys before leaving the house.

No one knows how they will react in any confrontation. Calm heads are more important than quick hands but sometimes the circumstances aren't to your liking or
there's more of them than there are of me.....a sidearm empowers you with a added sense of calmness about the situation and to act level-headed since as a CCW
holder you understand the legal responsibilities that accompany discharging your weapon and deadly force. The bottom-line is a civilian wearing a gun is intended to
be for defense purposes only. I am prepared to defend myself any time or place because it is my mission to avoid ever having to think or say...."I wish I had only wore my gun today."

In closing, deadly force or brandishing a weapon is not an act to be taken lightly or purported to be something anyone could do without even a second thought. Until you're actually
confronted with a threatening scenario to your own or family's welfare, is at serious risk, don't be too quick to judge what's the right thing or wrong thing to do or have done. Owning
a gun and legally carrying a gun is every individual's decision but if and when you do, you are assuming an enormous and onerous responsibility. It can involve life & death, perhaps your own.

That about sums it up for me. I'm a rare breed among gamblers that I have yet to be successfully robbed, although I have had three close calls. The first by two blacks, at least one armed with a knife. I had a small caliber weapon and it was enough to discourage them. The second was by two small Asians. I had just made a healthy score in a poker tournament and was walking to my car when I noticed I was being followed into the parking lot. I was unarmed and turned and walked directly toward them. It was enough to confuse them momentarily and I got away.

The third time was very scary. Asleep in my car I was awakened by a crackhead banging on my window. His two buddies were on the other side of the car. I had a .22 derringer in my lap and could have easily got the guy on my side but opted to start my car and escape. Both times I had a gun I came close to using it. In hindsight I should have shot the crackhead at my door. His head was less then three feet away, well within range of my little .22.

I was later to find out the Asians had robbed several people at gunpoint in casino parking lots in L.A. They would wait until you reached your car and were opening the door. These are the type of things that casinos don't publicize. The Asians were eventually caught and prosecuted. My friend told me later that the crackheads around Lake Elsinore were particularly dangerous.

I am ALWAYS very aware of my surroundings, even in seemingly innocent situations. I'm usually the first to spot a weirdo in the crowd. There's a lot of them out there!

How's that? Are you serious or just kidding? ALL reported crimes eventually make their way into NCIC where they are compiled yearly. The FACT that such a small segment (13%) of the population is responsible for such a large number of violent crimes makes my case for me.

Small Asians? Are there big Asians? Never seen one. Hope this doesn't get me called out again for being racist.

Being robbed is terrible. But at least no one was hurt. I have been on the wrong end of a gun a time or two and stabbed twice. Always best to give it up and fight another day when out numbered like that. Im glad shane is alright.
