The Great Southern Billiard Tour has stopped @ Karl's Korner in Columbia, SC for a $1500 Added guaranteed 9-ball tourney. Heavy hitters in the field are SD, Larry Nevel, Sparky Ferrell, Scott Rabon, Greg Dix, Josh Roberts, & Jared Mcgee.

Some early round match-ups:

Sparky Ferrell vs. Josh Roberts
Sparky winning 9-6.

Greg Dix vs. "Baltimore" Buddy Dennis
Buddy winning 9-5

SD vs. local Dave Cook
SD winning this match after having Dave 8-2 and Dave coming back to tie the match at 8-8- missing the one- SD ran out after making a tough shot on the one in the side. Nail- biter!!!

Jeff Murrah pool room proprietor of Karl's Korner has had two double hill thrillers (winning both) against Greg Nodine & Mike Basha. Exciting matches!!

Our two lady players are in a play-off for the $50 cash prize..... Rayanne Harvala & Mary Brazell (in progress)!!

It has been a great tourney w/alot of exciting matches to watch!! Mary Brazell catered her famous chicken bog and homemade chocolate, cherry, almond cake- it was all delicious!!!! Thanks to her!!!!

We are having an amazing time... if you are in the area stop by... there is word of some ACTION tonight!!

We had 37 players (2 ladies w/ free entries)- paid out on 35 players. Entry fee- $50 (waived all tour cards due to last events of the year.)Entry is broke down to $30 to the tournament and $20 green fee. Actually, the green fee is the money that Shannon & I make for running the tournament. The room owner DOES NOT pay us a fee. The pool room adds $1500 plus we take the $30 per player added to the tournament prize fund. That is how we do it on The Great Southern Billiard Tour!!:)

The winner is...

Larry Nevel wins The Columbia Cup !! Scott put up a good fight but Larry's powerful break was too overpowering. In the one set finals the final score was 9-5. Larry has pulled it off winning two tour stops in a row!! Maybe he can pull a three-peat and do it again in Charleston this weekend at Northpark Grill. This is another one in the books and we have had a great time in Columbia, SC @ Karl's Korner. It was wonderful to see our old friends and we definitely made new ones. We really appreciate the support our tour members have shown us throughout this year. Thanks so much to you all!!
