I use a browser addon for firefox called swift selection search. It's one of the most useful browser tools I've ever found. Anything I highlight can be instantly searched with whatever engine I have configured. I created one for here and it works great. Searching through google is also helpful, and adding quotes to certain strings or words is another good trick.

Chrome has a built-in feature that right-click on highlighted text offers "Search Google for..."

For a particular poster's name (including your own) and approximate date, you can go to the poster's profile and select messages and click on the number, in your instance, 28K+.
Everything posted comes up.

This is how I found the thread in question in a matter of seconds, without leaving the site.

Yep. Going to the world's internet and using Google search works better than asking within AZBilliards to find my posts with words in the title 10.5mm shaft! Its better than sifting through one's posts in a person's profile as jimmyco did. I don't think you need to remember the search string site:forums.azbilliards.com 10.5mm shaft ___ Do a normal Google search and include the word AZBilliards to the search

Alternatively, if you're just searching for posts of your own, you can go to your profile and it shows your posts there. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner, and you'll see an option for "your content"

It should work flawlessly for me - once I search and use 3 letter words and I get nothing for half an hour, I start using all kinds of 4 letter words 🤬
