I've bee out of town on business all week and I'm glad to see this thread come alive with some great cues. I was reluctant to post the COTY thread this year, as a matter of fact, my plan was not to do it. However, I received emails, PMs, and posts that encouraged me to keep it going.

Thanks Jamie.......

Jamie.....the time and effort that you invest doing this largely goes unnoticed......I did not imply "unappreciated" and so please do not infer that's what I meant. It's simply because we just read and look and don't have to do much more than that aside from voting and maybe posting a comment or reply.

If you ever do decide to discontinue this contest, I hope Jerry Forsythe will step up to the plate and take a swing at it. The contest is eye-opening, pool cue artistry gets displayed, and the comments by others can be at times informative and entertaining. It's a great idea for a contest and everyone seems enthusiastic about this every year.

I was thinking of entering my Owen propeller cue but after seeing some dandies already up, I'm not going to even bother as I'd definitely pick those cues over mine. Now 2015 is a different story and the cue Jerry R. is finishing will definitely be entered in next year's contest. Personally, I look forward to see what other hot looking cues get completed every year and I do hope you'll decide to continue this contest in the future. Thank you for coming up with this contest and more importantly, putting in the time and effort to keep it going.

Hightower Knight's Scepter

This is the Hightower Knight's Scepter. It has rosewood points and butt sleeve, with maple forearm and colored veneer work. All the swords and other white inlays are moose. To keep with the Knight's Scepter theme we inlaid the wrap area to simulate a dragon scale wrap.

Shouldn’t a cue have to be completed and displayed by Dec 31st- 11:59 -2014 to even be considered a contender?
Otherwise it goes in for 2015

Also why not have different categories?
Butterfly Cues
Old School Style
Big Cues
Collectables, Vintage
Etc.

I am no expert but I have seen some amazing cues in their respective style.

Yes... but it does not have to be posted to the thread by then

Everyone has a different opinion of categories... believe me, I've had tons and tons of suggestions.

I want everyone to remember, this more of a showcase of cues than it is a competition. There are no awards for winning. Just enjoy the cues and vote if you feel incline to do so when the poll is posted.

I say no.... It's Cue of year not "Cues" of the year.... Maybe you should start a thread for everyone to post their cues from 2014 to highlight what's be done... Start it up every year... There Ya go! Have at it! You're now in charge of that...:)
