If you have access to a lathe with larger jaws make some collet blanks out of your stock , 3/4" or more tenon just under the max your jaws will open and put center on the blank end , you'll waste some material but the price you pay for your capacity ... Now you can pet tenon in your chuck and center in your tail stock and turn an bore ... I bored mine with the inside matching butt taper , mark which side is larger on each ... Your blanks of forearms or butts don't have to be uniform in size for these collts to do their job ... If your trying to get zero runout this might help ...A note about delrin and temperature ... It expands in heat and contracts when cool so pay attention to your tolerances when fabricating and the temp. of your shop ...
