billiard rooms ...
I would always say the one with the most money action going on.
But memorable ones for me are:
1) The Billiard Tavern in San Diego (late 60's - 33 tables, closed circuit TV's, fountain, eating, private rooms, $10,000 exhibition table - would put many rooms today to shame)
2) The Golden Cue in Houston (early 70's - many pros humg out there, like
Jersey Red, Boston Shorty, Taylor brothers, lots of money action)
3) Magoos in Tulsa
4) SidePockets here in Wichita is the nicest and biggest room.
Upscale is nice, but if their is no money action, and just a bunch of kids running around in it, it scares the players off.
