Correction on the flyer

There was a small but important typo on the flyer that has been corrected. It would be hard getting the tournament rate for the hotel AFTER the event.

Sign ups have been going well. We are expecting a full field again this year. So if you are thinking about playing this year, don't hesitate. Go ahead and sign up.

Send me a PM if you have any questions.

Less than a week away!

Folks!

We are less than 1 week away from the 11th Annual VA State 9 Ball Championships! Sign ups are coming in and it is looking to be another good year. If you are planning on playing this year, check in at Diamond Billiards in Midlothian, VA and get you spot secured.

If you are playing this year and have never played before, make sure you bring something to prove your residency in the Commonwealth of VA. If you have one of the newer drivers licenses or a utility bill; either will work.

PM me if you have any questions.

VA State 9-ball Championship

Do you have to be a resident of VA in order to play???

I'm told the event was won by Chris Futrell over Danny Mastermaker in a thrilling hill-hill match.

The final will be uploaded to Youtube soon. Congrats to both players!

I watched it on stream and it was a great match. Greg Taylor from Lynchburg Va got 3rd. Congrats to him as well. He was the winner of the Va State 8 ball BB championship last month that was held in Lynchburg at the Clubhouse. Va has some great players. Congrats again to the top 3.

And Corey Sykes had him a good event too.

He got strong, pickin on me, 2 tables at once.

Haha, yeah. The last 8 of the states in VA is always a ridiculous tough field, and anyone can win it. I played horrible against Futrell in the morning, but bounced back against Larry Kressel and Eric Moore in a hill-hill thriller. There's just too many good people in Virginia. Where were you this weekend?

I'll have to show you the out I had to beat Eric -- by far the luckiest shot I've ever hit in my life.

Beating Kressel and Moore is a good day!

I wanted to go, but I was looking for something a little easier. I was riding over 9 mountains:eek:

Ah, that's awesome. I'm a personal fan of your max speed of 51 mph. On a bike? Holy hell.

Best Match of the event EVER!

Folks,

You are hearing from the guy that's been at all of them, this match was the best match out of the 11 years I've been running it. They both played great and it could have gone either way. Congrats to Danny and Chris for the dynamite play! Here's the link:
