Hey Danny,
I live on a small island in Alaska, not a lot of local competition.
So lately I have been spendilg most of my time practicing against the 15 ball ghost and playing some high run sessions of 14.1. My 14.1 runs always seem to stall around 60 balls (all time high run of 75) i was wondering if you thought Jim Rempes how to Run 100 balls might push me over the century mark? Or any advice you could give me, because i know you are quite an accomplished 14.1 player.
Thanx

Danny has told me in the past that Mike Sigel has a video that breaks down a 100 ball run that is exceptional at helping your 14.1 runs.

I think it was made in the 80's. Might be called "Perfect Straight Pool".

Hey Thanx

I'll put that on my pool videos to get list. Thanx for the input

Jim Rempe's "How To Run A Hundred Balls" which is available through Accu-Stats (AS-JR2) is excellent- also (AS-JR1) is "How to Run a Rack In Straight Pool" - good idea to start with that one first.

Pat was also putting together a Straight Pool compilation called Straight Pool - Pool's Cruelest Discipline. I'm not sure what the status of this DVD is, but I'm anxiously waiting for it to get finished. It sound like a "must have" for anybody's collection.

BTW... I talk with Danny quite often, I'll tell him to stop by here and answer your questions.

Well with your nick name RPM you should get geared up for Rempe's video, it is true that Sigel has video on 14.1 but I would recommend Rempe's tape before I purchased Sigal's. Jim Rempe is a true ambassadore to the game and he has just as much knowledge on the topic as anyone I know, plus he has allway's been a gentleman when I saw him and I know him better than I do Mike. Remember that if the fifteenth ball and or the 'break ball' is close to the rack we draw the cue ball, if the breakshot ball and the rack have distance (more than three ball's width) then we should address the cue ball with follow, there are a few exception's but this will help you not be so worried about scratching off of the rack and increase your high run average.
Sincerely, Danny Harriman

Danny, Charlie Brown in Texas wishes to talk some business with you. If you will PM me, I will forward his phone number.
Just to remind you of who he is, he bought you in Texarkana you were force to forfiet because you became ill.

14.1 Tape

I can recommend the Rempe 100-ball run video.
I just bought a copy which I received a few days ago. It has some great pointers on a number of different items during the video.

This is my only straight pool video - yet.
