15 ahead for $32,000

I was at Derby 2 years ago having a good time playing blackjack on the riverboat. A very well known pro pool players sits at my table and before I can say hello he bets 2K on a hand and won. He plays 2 K bets playing two handed and lost both. Gets up and leaves. Everyone else at the table was like WTF??? I just said he's a pro pool player and life resumed with 20-50 dollars bets around. Money management is not their strong suit!

I would rather lose 2k in one hand than lose 2k betting 50 -100 a hand. Give yourself a chance to win something.

Josh is showing a lot of gamble
I know someone else who will do that

Chris, how can you and Justin Cone match up and play some 1 hole? He hasn't played anyone in over a year, because he works 5 days a week, I also haven't heard of you playing a lot. Billy Kuykendall.

I have not been playing since jan
I work 6 to 7 days a week
I guess even 1 pocket would be fair

No idea. Can't put it past anyone down there where that pool room is located.
If so, they didn't get it all. As they are already stuck as much as they are bettin this set.

I remember that happening in Hollywood Billiards once to Will right after he made a score. Of course everyone knows who was behind that.

I was told josh got jacked at gun point
In New Orleans anyone know if that was true?
I hope not be has been going around gambling
And giving good action

Sadly it is true. I'm not posting any specifics here for obvious reasons but that did happen unfortunately.

Hell yeah! I totally respect these guys more than top flight pros!
Top flight pros just put up airfare, hotel and entry fee and then go on to beat a half dozen worldbeaters in tournaments, consistently over a period of years.

They aren't nearly as cool as a couple of dudes with rich friends who happen to like their game!

No doubt all those US open champs vomited all over the felt just before they drilled home a 9 ball worth 20-50k.
Now those losers are making a living playing bonus ball and getting watched by fans online.
I'm sure they'd trade their lives and stroke for lil'D's in a heartbeat!

You have no clue about pool if you think these short stop road players will beat these World Champions,U.S. Open Champions, etc...... gambling for any amount of money playing even.

Any one is subject to win matching up with a spot.

Word to the gamblers. I know no one wants to do this, but when your in a shady area like this and make a score do this. I did it once.

Get the house phone or use your cell and then turn it off, call 911 and tell them you see suspicious activity from a few people and think you may be robbed. When the police walk around and find nothing, casually just leave with them. Then keep an eye out that your not getting followed.

Hope this helps someone down the road.

Good advice. Be safe, folks.

Myself, if someone stole my identity, my credit score would improve. :)

I think the backers should just write a check and post it instead of cash, then they could leave the money in their savings accounts where it would be safe from thieves.

:D

I have seen. not so well known players run 7s 8s and 9 packs gambling
.some u thinkare short stops play top level pool but choose to avoide that spot light..and yes they still exist..Jumping joe even will tell u of a player he believs is one of the best(no mention of names)...Pro players are those that play pro events in my opinion..Doesn't mean they are the best.

I just spoke to goose who is in Jackson now and was in Nawlins. He said josh DID NOT get hijacked.
So someone's tellin a fib, somewhere. But if he did get hijacked he had an awful lot of cash with him, cause he's stuck now as much as he's betting this set.

Josh didn't want it getting around but it has. Plain and simple it did happen. Nobody got hurt but it did happen. I figured there was no reason to pull punches about it since it seems everyone knows already but it looks like they might be trying to keep it from getting out. I know 3 people who were there, Josh included and I've known them all for a long time. Done business with all of them including gambling. They certainly did get robbed.

Yes I heard the same thing today. I understand they want to keep it on the down low cause it's such a great action spot. But I think people deserve to know if they may be going to the area to get action.

Believe it or not there is a guy that gambles like this. Been doing it for awhile now. He makes us post cash and he posts a blank check. Pretty funny really but so far he's good as gold.
