I broke a full rack. I ran 1-11 in rotarion ball in hand after break. Stoping there did I just beat the 15 ball rotation ghost? 66 points wins. Not the 15 ball ghost but the 15 ball rotation ghost.
Crazy question unless you have done it. Fun game rotation.

Rotation is such a great game, but i can rarely get anyone to play. The common complaint I hear is that scoring it becomes distracting. In 9 or 10 ball the end is obvious without all that math. A buddy of mine and I started playing it so that we put all the balls in the end of the table; like in one pocket, and then add them up after the fifteen ball falls. The scoring possibilities are endless unlike 9 ball. The " Bank,kick,combo,carom" guy can really get rewarded in rotation. Sometimes it is more about what you know than how to smash in a six ball out. All this being said.......yeah! you beat the ghost.:thumbup:
 
Been a while since I was tuned up enough to play the 15 ghost, but I always played it where I had to clean my plate. So... I'd have to say you won a race to 1 against the 11-ball ghost on hard mode. :wink:

But if you got that far, you were probably out anyway.

Doesn't traditional rotation permit the shooter to use either the lowest or the highest ball on the table as the ob?

Regardless, I often try to run full racks In order and I believe I have only done it once, in about a decade. Tuff stuff.
 
American rotation.

You should try Joe Tucker's version called American rotation. Each rack is worth 20 points total. 1-10 balls are 1pt each. 11-15 balls are worth 2pts each. Check out his website www.joetucker.net for the official rules.

Rotation is a pretty fun game. Not sure why it's not played at all. I know score keeping can be annoying but it's not that tough.

You can not get 61 shooting balls in rotation. Am I allowed to pocket out of order with good hits. If so this game just got a lot easier many many times easier.

Yes. If you are playing rotation rules then 61 wins so making more than 61 wins.
 
Speaking of beating the ghost. How do you rack to play against the 12 ball ghost? Do you just rack all 15, break, then remove 13-15? Ive always wondered about that. (Coming from someone who has trouble with the 7 ball ghost)

I usually see it like 10b, with 2 additional balls placed inside the back corners, on the next row.

You do not have to get 61 exactly.

Are you really expecting us to believe you thought no combos were allowed?

I did. I did it shooting the balls clean in order. And I did say I would do that. If combo's are allowed I like it way better for me so to speak. Way better. I thought balls couldn't be made out of sequence on a good strike.
