This a funny video from Naoyuki Oi's Youtube channel about typical things poolplayers do at tournaments.

https://youtu.be/xMxiSj1CgrE

It's kind of relieving to see how a top pro still goes though all the things that we all do.
There's no English subtitles, but I think it's still funny even if you can't understand what's being said.

Here's a list of the 16 things in the video.

1. Forgetting your cue
2. Only having a shaft in the case
3. Ordering water like everyone else
4. Can't make balls in the 10-shot warmup
5. Going through all the emotions while sitting in the chair
6. Gathering info about the table conditions
7. Usually having a stomachache on the day of the tournament
8. Acting cool when waiting for the washroom
9. Everyone knows you just took a dump
10. Expecting your turn to come up
11. Having a meltdown in the chair
12. Lying to everyone (and yourself) about how good you're playing right now
13. Having a mental breakdown when you're not playing well
14. Getting advice after losing (and pretending to listen)
15. Going from hope to despair (at hill-hill)
16. Acting like you meant to play a safety when it was just a fluke

its not English but I know what he means.

That pool room looks like it might have that Apple green Simonis color cloth DrCuesProtege has been talking about?

I dont know if the Japanese reads well when written in English

but the two easy Japanese phrases to learn are

itch-e itch-e go (say this if the player plays safe too much)

and

nanna korobi ya oki ( say this after missing the pocket)

if a japanese guy is trying to be funny, pick up Japanese phrases

Japan invented anime

This cat can play and he's also nuttier than squirrel shit. Probably one reason he plays so well, he doesn't take it so seriously to not enjoy it. Lesson there folks.

Oi Naoyuki is one of the more entertaining people in our sport. This is just another sample of how he keeps things light and amusing.

That kinda make him underrated, but he is deadly when he is on. Always enjoy watching him play. Good pace

What I should have done!

What I hate is being forced to listen politely to what I should have done.

If what I did doesn't work to perfection then I have to listen to what I should have done with no way to know if it would have worked or not or even things completely impossible. Got to be nice to fans, owners, and sponsors.

Smile and nod, smile and nod, smile and nod. Quit fantasizing about how nice it would be to strangle this stupid twit until his eyeballs pop out! Smile and nod, smile and nod, smile and nod.

I wish Oi would learn some English....he might become a great entertainer....
...and he’s got the skills to back it up.
