1955-1959 Brunswick Anniversary 9 foot- Stunning

Well, to tell you that it's a nice looking table, that the market for pool tables currently sucks and wish you luck with your sale. This just seems like rewriting the same thing as the last post, but for some reason you didn't get it.

I'm selling a table and you're commenting that my price is off for this economy. How does your comment help my sale? Why even say that. I've seen a lot of cues on here that I think are way over priced. I don't post about it. What's the point. A mint Anniversary, original down to the bolts is definitely in the range that I have it listed at.

I never said your price was off. I said it's going to be hard to get $5000.00. I didn't say "$5,000.00???, your crazy!?". I didn't write "Maybe $3000.00", I just said it was tough right now to get it.

I even said the table is worth it, I don't know what you're getting at. I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that you're having a hard time getting $5k and you're a bit frustrated.

So let me clarify in a longer statement. "Wow, beautiful table. WELL worth $5,000. The fact that it hasn't been sold already is just another indicator of the decline in the economy, the collapse of the housing market and the overall saturation of used tables on the market. It's going to be a difficult sell, but when the right person comes along they will sure have a great table".

Same statement, more fluff, but you can see my intention was not to state that your table was overpriced. I'd have a hard time selling a lambo right now too, does that mean I would suggest trying to sell it for next to nothing? No...I really did just mean to wish you good luck in your sale.

I changed my original post and took of the "just doesn't matter" as I guess that was the comment that's throwing you.

Do you think, "Going to be hard to get $5000 out of any table in this market", helps my sale or hurts it?

Taking into account the fact that you have been a member here for a couple of months, with zero iTrader rating, talking to a guy that's been here 4 years with 60 positive transactions, you might want to consider that perhaps you are the one "not getting it" and read the For Sale Forum sticky before telling folks how to think.

Monte has a great table here, in very unusual original condition and quite desirable. If the table or the price, doesn't work for you personally, maybe you should move along or PM him an offer. He's not looking to sell the table to everyone. He's looking for one buyer. Not you? I'm sure that's cool with Monte. Please save your musings on the economy to the NPR thread.

Thanks

Kevin

What's a "lambo"?

Get off your high horse guy. You guys really read into a comment as short as 1 line that has 3 positive things to say and a simple statement of the obvious that it's difficult right now? I NEVER stated anywhere that the table is overpriced. I never told him to think it should sell for less. What the hell are you going on and on about? I restate that I didn't mean for it to come off the way that it did, or that you've taken it and I apologize. If anyone else would like to reply, flame me for no reason and feel better about themselves by typing a reply go right ahead.

I paid $7,500 for a 9 ft Centennial over 10 years ago.

$5,000 for your table is a real bargin regardless.

And it will only appreciate in value over time.

Plus, you have come way down on this table since you first posted it.

If I were you I would keep it for anything less.

Good luck Sir...
