I am the original owner, purchased cue in 1956.
when Herman Rambow was still shop foreman for Brunswick.
Original cost was $18.95
Cue remained in storage, in case, at my parents home for the next 48 years.
(Would you believe the original shaft is still straight?)
Cue has been completely rebuilt.

Joint is solid ivory with Radial pin.
Purple Heart collars have two layers of brass with Ivory core.
Four points of Purple, Green, & Maple (you will notice are not faded).
Real Mother of Pearl and Ivory inlays within points.
Wrap is Purple Lizard
Butt of cue has additional Ivory and Mother of Pearl inlays.
One and 1/2" butt is solid Ivory.
Two shafts, Ivory ferrules, custom joint caps.

J.P, that's a stunning cue. I love purpleheart and ivory together in a cue.....and this shows exactly why the purpleheart Titlists are so desired !!!

Jon,

Thanks for posting the pics, it's a beauty with an interesting story.

I would also like to compliment you on your photos. I've always thought you had a knack for showing your cues very well in photos.

1956-2006 Scruggs/Brunswick

Just like all of you I guess I'am a certified Cue nut. Seeing all of the fine cues that the AZ members have, has always been a real treat. It shows that not only do we love the game, but cherish good equipment to play with!

Tim & Mike really did a spectactular job on rebuilding this cue for me, and your favoritable comments are proof of their great ability to create fantastic looking and hitting cues.

Thank again, JP:)

beautiful titleist

Jon, That's one heck of a fine job. I just love the still vibrant colored veneers and ivory ring work. Can't immagine how you resisted keeping it tucked away for so long without giving it to Tim and Mike! It looks like a real gem.

I got to see your cue in progress when I was down at Tim's in July, just wondering then how it was going to look when finished. Just amazing!
Good luck with the sale.

Simple, creative, inspiring, awesome design are some things that come to mind.
Thanks for posting the pictures and sharing the story behind the cue.

John; The Joint Protecters were Mike Cochran's idea, he did a fantastic job is making them. Glad you noticed. Thank you JP

Cue

That is a fantastic job on that cue. Looks really good. The inlays complement the cue, not take away from it. Love the wrap.
