I haven't had a table in years.. Point in fact I haven't played pool regularly in probably 6-7 years, I will give you the life story when I get to a keyboard.

In the meantime, I purchased this tonight and will have it delivered to my house this week. The pool table itself is in exceptionally good shape. I would like to refinish the skirts to make them look new again etc.. The pockets are red and could be cleaned up with minimal effort but I would rather just buy new ones (black).

What's this table worth? Current condition? Mint condition?

Where would I find a "correct" ball return for it? Approximately how much are they?

How much to recushion it (preferably with straight cut pockets) and refelt it with 860?

Now the problem.. I live in Lake Havasu City AZ, so does anybody travel out here to do that kind of work? Or do I have to get an education in being a pool table mechanic?

nice table as is. i would buy it for 3000 or less and have it moved and set up as is unless the cloth is unusable or you cant stand red. later on decide if you want to do more.

Thanks for the input so far.. If I'm going to play on it is like it to be setup as good as its going to be. It living out here in the desert the rails should be replaced in my opinion.. They aren't dead, but they aren't live either. Plus I'd like the pockets to be waaaayyy tighter to get back in stroke.

I found a thread where some guy was trying to sell his for 11,000? Are these things in perfect condition really worth that much? Or in that arena?

If those red pockets look original, don't change them.
They are better than modern plastic pockets...
....may be a bakelite type composition.
They are nicer to shoot over and have a dynamite sound when you
smack one in the heart.

Table

I believe Glen Hancock is in California and I'm sure he will be in the Vegas area sooner or later.

I am assuming he is a table mechanic? Like I said it's been years since I've played or even been on AZ Billiards.

Back in the day it was Steve L. or Ernesto from Hard Times that you wanted doing tables? Are they still around?

Can you pm me the contact info for Glen Hancock?

I love my Brunswick Anniversary an older model from 1952.

Reclothed and outfitted with new rails, this should play great. I priced a ball return system a few years ago and it was around $800 so I passed; mine has drop pockets and I have no problem with that. Post the question in the mechanic's forum and see what pops up.

Prices are all over the map. It's only worth whatever someone would pay for it. I paid $2000 for mine 7 years ago and then spent about $700 getting it moved and set up. Worth every penny to me.

Nice table, but for sure you'd want new cloth and the pocket openings worked on. Looks like they are GIANT. If I played on one of those at home I'd think I was god till I went into a pool room with under 5" pockets.

I think Glen is realkingcobra on AZB. If you post in the Talk to a Mechanic section you will find recommendations on a table mechanic in your area that is worth using.

Nice table. Get it set up properly and you'll love it.

Keep the red pockets. They likely are original to the table.

I'd forget the ball return idea. They are troublesome and expensive.

I have pretty much this exact same table. Put new rubber all around and blue Simonis 860. Play's like dream. It's my understanding that a Gold Crown 1 ball return will fit this table and these can be had fairly reasonable. I even have the same dark red original pockets. They are rubber (not Bakelite or anything) but are really thick and have a fantastic sound when you smack a ball in the hole. You're gonna love it if it's setup properly.

Ken Hash is a great resource for all thing Anniversary

Yeah like a ball hitting a catcher's mitt.

Great tabke. Find a metal fabrication, refinished to buff and polish trim...it will be immaculate.
Restored they are worth 6-7 k imo. People ask more, but they dont sell for more.

Thanks for the input! I have been doing the research online since I posted the thread and the #'s are all over the board. I have seen some guys asking ridiculous $$ for these tables, and there idea of "mint" is a lot different then mine.. ;)

I have the exact same setup, with 860 and tightened pockets. I also had mine converted to a ball return. I used the gold crown return rails, which do fit.

The holes where the balls would drop into an anniversary ball return box do not line up with where the rails drop the balls, but the easy trick is to put a Gold Crown box on the anniversary table and you'll have a fully functioning ball return. Also, Gold Crown I-III pockets work well with this setup and all can be had for much cheaper than an anniversary ball return system.

P.S. I was there with my buddy who bought your old Murray table. That was a sick setup!

I have an Anniversary, don't know what year. Skirting was damaged beyond repair so I had to replaced it with solid maple. Tournament blue 860, drop pockets. Plays great,
really well made table.
