I'm posting for a friend..

He has a 1967 "Meucci Original" 4 point he's thinking about selling. This cue was made while Meucci still lived in Chicago and before moving to Memphis to open his own shop. I don't have a count, but I imagine he wasn't making very many cues each year at that time. The date was determined by the penny under the Butt Cap. This was even before he went to work for United Chalk. I have often joked with him that this cue might even have been his demonstration cue to go to work at United.

If anyone wants pictures email me at perfectpoolpractice@yahoo.com and I will get them emailed to you.

Asking $25k or reasonable offer. He was told that is the approximate value of this cue, with it's age and condition, which is very good...

Someone with a new account selling a cue for someone else.
I don't know if there is any Meucci worth that much.
A couple weeks ago there was a Meucci on eBay going for about 12-15K,
it was a one of two cues made for the King of Brunei.. wow!!!

Now if it was the actual playing cue of the "King of Pop" someone might pay that much.

Send me pix at jlolley@bamacues.com

Even it it were a legitimate BMC from the late 60s, it would not do $25K. Very few Balabushkas do that money, and the most expensive Meucci I know of is the original "Crown" cue, which might do $8-10k.

I never heard of Bob Meucci dating his cues with a penny...that was Doc Fry's signature.

Anyways, I look forward to pix. I will post them on here for you so that other experts can comment.

Joe
