1997 Falcon cues

Does anyone know anybody who might have been working for Falcon in or around 1997? I recently acquired a cue with a (maybe too) outrageous story that I would like to get confirmed or denied.
I have sent emails to Falcon, but they have not replied...

The cue I have is identical to the Predator LE-5 (?) from 1997, but with the Falcon logo and no Predator identification anywhere on the cue. I was told there was an "accidental overrun" of 3 of these cues, and Predator only wanted 100 and refused the extras. So the 3 were stamped with the Falcon logo, and a representative got hold of at least one of them, and that is the one I have.

Well, that is the story.

Well, by all means please share the story. I bought a Falcon off of eBay once that the guy was advertising as having been built for Buddy Holly of all people. Knowing Buddy had been long dead before Falcon was even a glimmer in anyone's eye, I still grabbed it and was happy with it for quite some time. Curious if it's a similar story.

Falcon helped Predator start, and they made cues for them for a while before Predator moved to China. I believe this story would be completely Plausible.

jose Garcia was far from the first person to sell falcon cues. eddie Sheehan originated in the USA, sold, warehoused, represented and possibly owned a piece if not all of falcon cues. if anything, jose took on the line and played with as a favor to his friend, fellow room owner and relative neighbor. eddie originally started the business in conjunction with his room in Gloucester NJ, Emerald City Billiards, now defunked.

In 1981, I had the chance to buy an old Harley from Hall and Christ Shows, that was built exclusively for Elvis Presley.

They actually made quite a bit displaying this old Pan Head Harley at Carnivals.

See, just because it was made exclusively for Elvis, doesn't mean that he ever owned it.

A little play on words and it was perfectly legal.

Were some of the early Falcons made by JOSS? I know JOSS helped them set up, but I think they actually made some of the cues. Saw something here on AZB about it at some point.

Guessing they may have meant Buddy Hall?

Thanks for all of the replies. I have found the info I was looking for from a local cuemaker that purchased it from the original owner.
He corroborated the story of an overrun of 3 cues from Falcon, not wanted by Predator. The original owner took all 3 and distributed 2 to dealers (wouldn't say which ones) and kept the third for himself as a personal player. That is the one I now have.

I am trying to get a camera now to do just that. Hopefully I should have some up soon.

ok, pictures have been taken, but for some reason, but they won't upload, something about a security token missing.
