That article points out that the broadcaster (BBC) got a lot of flack for stopping the broadcast (moving it to a different platform) in the middle of the frame. Who remembers:... Here’s anudder:

Often the players will call a stalemate themselves. In this case, one player was ahead by about 30 points and didn't want a rerack. In the end, Marcel gave them three more turns to make some progress before a rerack. The commentators had seen enough after the first ten shots.Why wasn't a stalemate called ?
