Maybe it doesn't make any difference, but this is at the same time as the Hopkins SBE which also has a one pocket tournament.

We will have the Super Senior's (70 & over) again in October. Bogies liked the S/S so much they decided to have another for 65 and over because quite a few under 70 wanted in the last one.

I doubt it will make any difference Bob. With the field limited to 24, this one will probably have a waiting list. We will have the Super Seniors (70 & over) again in October.

I agree John..Good to see you posting over here :)..Onepocket.org is a great site for 1P, but as you know, I am now 'personna non grata' over there..I knew I was pushing the envelope, but I didn't really care!..The obvious favoritism shown by Booth, was more than I cared to deal with! ;)

Hope you will continue to post 1P related news over here, as it can only help spread the word about our favorite game!..Let Mr.3-IQ continue his 'thread hogging' rants over there..He is fast making himself an unpopular poster, and he is down to about one 'close friend'!..He seems to enjoy being at war, with almost everyone else! :yeah:

PS..Looking tor a repeat from you...

You may want to check your calendar, Joey. It's best to get a new one each year.

Why would you set up a tournament to have a max of 24 players -- forcing it to have 8 byes? Sorry but that makes no sense to me.

Bogies runs the tournament and decides how to run it. We did it the same way for the Super Seniors Tournament there in October and it worked out great.

The race is to four on the winners side and three on the one loss side. There is plenty of time for socializing and action and we are not playing late into the evening and tying up the tables in a busy pool room.

I go to as many tournaments as I can, mostly on the west coast anymore and I have to say we all had a wonderful time in October. This one will be the same. Bogies is a great host and running these tournaments to support the older players and give us a chance to compete against each other.

This is exactly what I was thinking too. No matter I guess, I'm 1 yr. too young, and a couple of thousand miles away. :(

Is that barber guy who likes to give short trims going to play in this one?

JoeyA

Yes. They have put in a dedicated line and may set up more than one table.

I will make sure the stream info is posted before the tournament.

Why would there be 8 byes? Is there a magic number to prevent byes, or reduce the amount of byes ?
