PARK BENCH CHARLIE (Charlie Ford) he stayed here in the springfield Mo area for some time 1 year or so in early 90's stayed until he hustled everyone in this area and couldn't find action last i heard he moved up to oklahoma tulsa area!

Mark Calvalier he was another great one 99-2000 time period from some where in louisana came to town getting the 8 from state runner up jimmy buxton after play 9 ball 50 a rack for several hours buxton up about 500 slowly he got back to even then agreed to play 10 ahead for 500 but still wanting the 8 he and i about came to blows over the 8 thing. buxton assured Andy G. and myself no problem (WE WERE backers). hour and ahalf later we were hitting the hip! he should have been giving buxton the 8.

Where are these guy now anyone heard anything about them> thank you for your time:grin:

i believe he was up in tulsa a few years ago...but don't quote me on it...I could just swear I know that name.

Wow I hvent heard those names in a while.

Chuck Ford-- last i heard he was in MO and still playing a little. Also heard that he moved to AZ and doesnt play. I dont think the last one is likely.

Mark-- did he move from New Orleans? Only place I have ever seen him or heard about him being. I have not heard his name in recent years so maybe he quit playing.

Mark Cavalier played a tournament I was in a few years back over at Murray's Miscue in Paris Tx. Damn, he played gooooooooood

On Big Truck's stream this last weekend, some people were discussing Mark Cavalier. Apparently, he is from New Orleans, and was supposed to be signed up for the upcoming event at The Big Easy. The context in which he was mentioned alluded to the fact that he was considered one of the "strong" players.

Havn't heard nothing bout Charlie since he was hanging round down here in the early 90's...Mark still in New Orleans...Doesn't play too much anymore but will be at the Big easy tourney i reckon...he played in the last one.

A friend of mine took Charlie to NO to play some. They were making some money and then Charlie asked for the keys to grab a jacket.

Next thing you know the car and Charlie are gone.

Some habits are hard to break. He came back and then was left in NO.

I saw him right before the trip and I couldnt believe that my friend was going to trust him.
Hope he is doing better. Heck of a player.

Cavalier was IMO never a TOP player. He was a good player but I don't remember him playing even with Harrahan Eddie or other TOP southern players.
He seemed like an okay guy. Steered a couple of us around NO once or twice. Bought my first Mudbugs as well. At the Sports Palace or Racketeers of all places.

Stiffed

You are correct John he was at Murray"s. He stiffed us on a 200.00 match with Tony. He left us holding a piece of junk Players cue and said he would be back with the money he owed us. I guess he got lost on the way back.

That he did do John...when it stayed on the table he was playing 5 & 6 ball most of the time but I've seen times where seemed like every other break was scratching or flying off the table....I've won a few dollars & lost a few on him...never was what would be considered a great player but had a decent gear when he had the mixture right.
