Never on DVD before!

7 Accu-Stats Classic matches have just been Re-mastered and are now available in the store!

There are two straight pool matches featuring Steve Mizerak from the 1989 U.S. Open. He faces off against Mike Sigel (a blowout with Steve running 104 balls) and the winner's side match with Oliver Ortmann which set up their meeting in the finals.

In the 9-ball races Earl Strickland shoots the lights out, Johhny Archer proves in 1991 that he has what it takes to be around for a long, long time, and Rich Geiler finds out what happens when he takes an ill-timed break.

The technology may not be what it is today, but the matches themselves are timeless.

And I can tell ya, I know they came out good.

I just ordered the Mizerak win.

I also asked Pat about adding commentary to the Sigel/Rempe 150 and out from '89 I think and putting that on DVD. I have the tape but it doesn't look so good on the new TVs.

I will be getting these dvds soon, too, but I just bought the Dr. Dave and Bob Jewett compendium (http://dr-dave-billiards.com/vepp/) and I better wait a few days.

What did Pat say about adding commentary?

Classic Straight Pool

I received the Miz , Sigel match..already watched it twice. Great to see how Steve played .

I pulled the trigger and got both of them. Sort of an after Christmas Christmas present to myself. I just started watching the Mizerak/Sigel this mornign. 3 racks are down and the Miz has a break shot. Don't tell me how it ends. Nice smooth patterns by the Miz so far. Very good commentary by Billy Incardona and Weanie Beanie.

Do yourselves a favor and treat yourselves to a couple of classic straight pool videos. The vhs tapes were converted flawlessly by an azbilliards regular who shall remain nameless until he chooses otherwise.

(Thanks, Joe!)
