This year the USA will have two participants.

Both Pedro Piedrabuena and Jae Huyng Cho will battle with worlds finest in the dutch village of Sluiskil.

I apologize that my questions are not related to what you share with us. But may I ask, is it true that the great Gabriels tables (IMO, the best in the world) will start to be manufactured in Turkey soon? Will you have a new line of tables called Sayginer? Will Eurasia make them for you?
Gabriels name is the name of QUALITY here in Turkey. You make the absolute best of the best tables in the world! :smile:

Would that be Edward Lee who won it in 1936?

More recently, Frank Torres finished second in 1987 with Harry Sims finishing fourth. That year (in Cairo) had a particularly poor turnout and the averages were not very good.

But still it's the second place, many times Raymond ceulemans had very easy games in the world champion ,besides that he is the legend of the game,

I am really proud of Frank Torres, and wish the Us will participate in most of the world cup,


WE HAVE THE POTENTIAL BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE RHYTHM OF THE BIG TOURNAMENT .

Hi There,

Thank you very much for your great comments and compliments on our tables.
As far as the Turkey question, we will not move production to Turkey. Our manufacturing site will remain in Middelburg, the Netherlands, were Loontjens Biljarts is located for 90 years now.

However, Eurasia is our exclusive distributor in Turkey, and together we are working to get more and more Gabriels tables onto the Turkish market. If you are in Ankara, you can find these in the Diamond Club and the club of Haci Arap Yaman, the World Champion Artistic.

I have to inform you, that we will not produce a Semih Sayginer tables. We had Semih as a Partner in 2007. However our partnership ended in 2008.
As you might know we have recently launched a Gabriels Caudron edition, this great table will make his official debut at the upcoming World Championships..... perhaps the namegiver can win on his own Gabriels Caudron table :smile:

The latest names are added to the playing field. All European players, in my humble opinion perhaps only a couple of them have a chance to davance to the knock out phase....

Of particular interest to the US fans are the groups:

HORN Martin DE
KOSTISTANSKY Gerhard AT
PIEDRABUENA Pedro US

and

SANCHEZ Daniel ES
DUONG Anh Vu VN
CHO Jae Hyung US

The group phase is 16 groups of 3 players. A round-robin within each group determines one player who will advance to the single-elimination 16-player bracket. All matches are best of 5 sets, each set to 15 points.
