My guess is some people might feel that $20 a spot is too much for an older plain Blue Grass sneaky pete. Honestly, that is why I haven't grabbed any spots yet. I know Richard and his cues probably more than anyone outside his dealers and I know the value of his cues pretty well. Outside his dealers, I've probably have more of them in and out of my hands than anyone.
I have raffled two sneaky petes here in the last 6 months or so. The first one was raffled when the ecomony was starting to free fall. It went off for $25 a spot. It was a new fancy s/p with a birdseye maple forearm and decorative rings. The second one was the slightly used and also had the birdseye maple forearm and decorative rings. It was a newer cue (maybe a year old). I again tried $25 a spot but it didn't go off. Tried $20 a spot and still didn't go. Finally, at $15 a spot it went off.
I believe that since the economy went into the crapper, it is getting harder and harder for people to spend money. For a used older sneaky like this with no ringwork, I would say it's worth in the $600-$650 range in excellent condition. New ones with the decorative ringwork go for $700-750 fairly regularly.
I know that running a raffle takes time and you also have to consider paypal fees and shipping costs. Nothing wrong with making a few bucks. You might have to consider lowing your price per spot a little to get it off.
Just one's long winded opinion.
Good luck with the raffle!
