2000.00 9-ball race to 9 dec 12th 13th quincy il

I scanned the flyer

I would like to see a flyer, with full details, for the tournament.

I have attended two of your tournaments. The payouts were based on 64 players. There were never 64 players, maybe 32.
To see $1000 added for 32 players would be nice.

32 players on 8 tables playing a race to 7or9 is an all day event, starting early.

Let me see it in writing.

I scanned the flyer but it is TOO big for AZ. IM me with your email and I will forward the scan of the flyer to you.

it is 2000.00 add based on 64 players which means that if i have less then 64 it will be pro rated just like the other's were...... and what that means is i will add $31.25 per player that shows up and thats up to 64 players .....and sorry about the dates of the tournamnet date being the same but i check all over and post mine very early and thats about all i can do ....but either way it will be a great tournament ...... it is on 7 foot valley bar tables winner breaks race to 9 both sides 25.00 entry with a 15.00 green fee for a total of 40.00 cal-cutta 12:00 and play will be 1:00 dec 12th quincy il 217 228 1818 thanks RACK DADDYS

Too bad the Columbia tournament is not on the weekend of the 19th.
We just had a State 8 ball tournament at Teacher's in St Peter's Mo, last month. Round Robin, with 60 something players. You get to PLAY ALOT. Round Robin. Make it to the finals and play all day on Sunday.

Quincy most likely be a one day event with the 12 inches of snow headed their way tomorrow? But, it might miss them>?

Hell Crump might change his mind and go to Millersburg and play in that event with the 10 other guys NOT playing in Quincy or Columbia?:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Bump

My mistake, I thought it was $2,000 for first. I must have been thinking of previous years when they based it on a full field of 88 players versus 64. Should have re-read the flier before I posted that. :embarrassed2:

Yeah, I do like the round robin format. It's a lot of work, but you get to play a lot of pool for your money, and there's an outside chance you could lose two matches and still advance.

Last time I spoke to Don he said he was going to Quincy, but the threat of snow may change his mind for him. I don't think his truck is 4WD.

Who won the tourney at Teacher's?

Aaron

You might want to pack an overnight bag

I forwarded you a scan of the flyer, since the file is so large I could not post it on the forum.

Mark:cool::cool::cool:

From what I can tell the auction will start at 12:30.
Tourney will be dragged out to 2 days. Unless there is a LIGHT turnout, and from the people I have spoken to this one looks like 40-50 players. Which would be a 1 day tourney if the losers bracket was a race to 7.

Race to 9. Remember to buy the BEST players in the auction. And bring your gamble, some of these guys will NOT be buying 1/2 themselves.

Justin, Andy, Steve, or Jon?

You bringing your overnight bag?

Andy went to the state tournament. He was disappointed that they only have 40 players. He might show up in Quincy tomorrow.

Justin, as of this afternoon, said he would not be there.

59 player PACK Rack Daddy's for tourney

Bobby McGrath
Dan Olsen
Whitey Walker
Jason Klatt
Were 4 of the 8 remaining players in the winners backet. They played the losers bracket almost down to the final 8 but a couple matches had to be stopped, and resumed in the morning at 11:30

Sammy is adding on to his building and will have 3 or 4 more tables, hopefully available for the next tournament on the weekend of 1/30/10.

WINNER BREAKS, KIDS. NEXT ONE FILLS UP.

I will try to get the final results for the top 5/6 tomorrow evening when this tournament is over. Old timers in the room were saying that this tournament had the most talent Quincy has seen in one event in YEARS.

Sammie will keep bringing it. Build it and they will come. From all over the country. Near and far, Florida to South Dakota.:cool::cool::cool:

1 day

If you are able to add-on and make this a 1 day tournament, I would love to play again.

I will wait to see.

No way they play this tourny in one day

Sammy is adding 3 tables but with 59 players this weekend the tournament did not wrap up until 10 p.m. tonight.

Some players were brought back today and did not even cash.

Bottom line is plan on staying overnight.
1st Jimmy Eberhardt UNDEFEATED $2800 w/1st auction if he bought himself? Tourney 1300 auction 1500 2nd auction probably paid 300-400 more.
2nd Jason Klatt $665 tourney and $660 1st auction/
3rd Whitey Walker 1st auction $350 tourney paid? $350? or so.

I could provide more detailed info, but I am tied up on family issues.

It was a very good tournament with a lot of great players. Payouts were good, could have been a little less for 1st in both the tourney money and calcutta and maybe distributed that out to more places or bumped up 2nd, 3rd, and 4th some. Overall a very good weekend, already looking forward to Jan. 30th

1st place REALLY top heavy !!!

The fact that 1st place paid twice as much as 2nd place is probably what had players driving in from Colorado, South Dakota, Indiana, Missouri and other states mainly Illinois.

I was invested in the auction and had the 2nd and 3rd place finishers but I can tell you I was salivating over the chance to have the winner and go to the payout window..

PACK YOUR OVERNIGHT BAG FOR THE 1/30 TOURNY :eek:
the IF NEEDED phrase should be eliminated from the flyer.

THIS WILL BE A TWO DAY EVENT UNLESS PARTICIPATION DROPS TO UNDER 40 PLAYERS.

The place shuts down at 1 a.m. SHARP. Period. Under intense police scrutiny. So, there is NO choice.

Chad Vilmont and Jamie Baraks might even come next time?

2nd calcutta paid out

1st - $570
2nd - $285
3rd - $95

This was a GREAT tournament all the way around. Sam and his family are doing everything possible to hold a great event for the players.

$15.00 green fee with no quarters is super cheap

Sam doesn't take the standard 10% out of the Calcutta and with over $3k in the first Calcutta and amost another $1K in the second, these guys are ready to gamble.

Standard initial bet in this area seems to be $500 and I couldn't help think that Sam is turning his pool room into what you read about in the Phillipines. If two guys want action, Sam is running from one side of the room to the other either setting up a game or getting a side bet for a player.

Real nice room, clean, non smoking, cheap hotels near by. I could go on and on.

I will definitely be back for more.

I whole heartedly concur.

The last time I was in the Phillipines was 1982 and it was not for pool, anyway.

Hats off to Jimmy Eberhardt who went UNDEFEATED through this STRONG field. He probably will go higher in the auction in the next event.

It was definitely fun to be a part of. Who was the young kid from Kansas? He was a ton! Hats off to Sam and his family-very well run, and very good food at reasonable prices.

Dan Olsen from South Dakota

That was Dan Olsen and from what his mom said he had relocated to Olathe Kansas.????

Check out Rack'em magazine on the internet. There is a picture of him on the December edition.

Mark:grin::grin::grin::grin:

Future junior national champion. In my opinion.
