Tee Shirts...

For everyone that bought raffle tickets...

Tee shirts I have are in the sizes Med, Large, X-Large and 2X.
I have the following colors. Burgandy, Hunter Green, Tan, Navy Blue, Charcoal Gray, and Burnt Orange.

Not all colors are available in all sizes. I will contact those people after we reach ten. The available shirts are first ticket purchase...first choice in shirts. They have a "Got Pool" design on the front with a cue striking a ball and www.cueandcushion.com on the back.

Lets see if this offer will budge the last person to buy a ticket...lets go!!!

Website FINALLY Updated

Sorry it took so long. I found a way around the hosts maintenance window and we are now up to date.

David Hodges has donated a year supply of Quick Clean (12 cans) along with the micro-fiber towel and the big wiper. I use this and it works great. My table was a mess from all the practice I do. It took 2 applications and I was amazed that the cloth looked like it was brand new again. Now that I use it more regularly, one time does the trick! Thanks David!

Freddy "THE BEARD" Bentivegna donated one set of an Autographed Hat, an Autographed Shirt (long or short sleeve-your choice), Banking With The Beard book, a pre-published copy of The GosPool, According To The Beard, and a 1 hour lesson in the AZ1P room at DCC 2007. If you can't make it to the DCC for the lesson, you can give the lesson to another member of AZ or 1P.org. How cool is that? By the way, if you have not gotten your copy of Banking with the Beard yet, you are missing out. The content on banking is fantastic and easy to follow, but you are also missing the great stories that are mixed into the book. Freddy's shirts were a pretty hot item last year at DCC, so get one of those while you are getting your book. Thanks Freddy!

The raffle is really growing, and I believe there is still one shirt to be given away for the next person who donates to the raffle, SO GET ON IT! ;)

Hi Timberly,

Thanks for including the members of onepocket in your raffle, thanks also for your involvement in creating a fundraiser for the 2007 DCC, this is my favorite tournament and I'm looking forward to January.

My check for the raffle is forthcoming.

John

I sent a Dick Jaspers-Sang Lee three cushion match and a Buddy Hall instructional tape yesterday for the auction.

The 3-C match is a good one; I hope regular pool players can appreciate the level of skill and finesse of these champs. Blomdahl does commentary- his level of insight is far beyond R. Byrne and Byrne knows quite a bit.

Just an update to where we stand with the raffle. Two very kind forum members have made donations this week. Bud was kind enough to donate the two videos that he mentioned above. Thank you Bud!

Njhustler1 of pooltees.com is donating two t-shirts from their website. One lucky winner will get to pick out two shirts of their choice from pooltees.com. Thank you Njhustler!

A speacial thank you to all the forum members who have donated both items and their time to help with all of this. Donovan has done a wonderful job with the website and is always ready & willing to help with whatever I need. Craig (cueandcushion) thank you so much for getting the ball rolling by offering free t-shirts. I could go on & on but I won't.... not right now anyway. I'll finish this part later..... ;)

John, I wish I could take credit for all the great ideas of the AZ-1p room but I can't. The credit for including onepocket.org goes to our dear late friend Old Has Been, Tom Ferry. The room was his idea, and from day one he included onepocket.org. I'm glad he did because I've met a few people that I probably would not have met otherwise. ;)

Craig, I'm waiting to get a shirt size from one of the winners and then I can get the list to you with all the info.

Thanks again to everyone. Good luck to those that have entered, and thank you very much to those that have and will be donating items. you guys rock!

The website has been updated once again with the pictures of the latest donation. Thanks Bud Green and PoolTees.com. The stuff looks great!

Just saw this...

I just noticed this thread Timberly. Glad we are FINALLY at 10 people. Hope to hear from you soon with all the info.

Craig...

Fred has donated 3 TSA Security locks. These are great for folks that have a porper travel bag or for people that travel by air frequently. Only TSA personnel have a special key to open the locks, the baggage handlers do not have a key & cannot gain access to your cue and/or belongings.

Thank you Fred!

If anyone knows JohnInNH, please have him contact me. I sent him a PM a couple of weeks ago & I still haven't heard from him. I need to know what size T-shirt he wants. If I don't hear from him by Friday, he's going to have to like the size I pick out for him. :o

Thanks again to everyone for their support by donations and for buying tickets!

I update this list on the 1st post everytime something is added but I don't know if many have bothered to go check it out so I'll attach it here also. The following is a list of all the items that have been donated so far & there's still more being promised!

I am slow I know, but the site is updated again. Thanks Fred Agnir! The locks will come be handy since they are the perfect size! BTW, nic pic Fred!

Since I work a real job now :( , I don't get to live in here as often as my heart desires, so bare with me on my slow progress. The raffle is really growing. Please keep doating items and by al means send in your money. The 2007 event is really going to be something!

Update...

Timberly has sent me an email that she has finally got everyone to give her shirt sizes. SO...Now it is up to me to get them picked out, packaged and mailed. I will try and get them out sometime this week. Thanks everyone who bought tickets for the raffle! Thanks Timberly for staying on top of this! :)

Thanks Corey

Corey (CrownCityCorey) at Tiger Products has donated 12 Sniper Tips. After some thinking and some asking around, I've decided to disperse them as so...

Six different winners will receive two tips.

Just winning the tips alone, you can get your money back...

$20 for 20 tickets
Say you win two tips
$15 is the deal you cut someone in the pool room (sell one, keep one)
If you sell one, keep one... you've just gotten yourself an $18 tip for $5.

;)

Thanks Corey & Tony!

Can one person win more than 1 item. If I was to buy 40$ worth of tickets if I am drawn do I remain in the running for other prizes.
Is this the way the room is being financed or will there be a cash collection also.
I was unable to go last year but I am attending this year.
thanks will

Yes, one person can end up winning multiple items. If you buy $40 worth of tickets, you will have 40 tickets entered into the drawing. If you're really lucky, you could win 40 items...in which case I would be sending you to the nearest 7-11 to buy me a lottery ticket. :p

We hope to have enough to fund the room and do extra. Everything rests on how much we're able to raise.... I don't like to mention donations until I have them on hand or someone has promised to hold onto an item and ship it to the winner themselves, but I will say that this raffle is only going to get better as time goes on. Jay Helfert has contacted me about some awesome memorabilia and Danny Harriman has mentioned something about a donation. This raffle started with approx 10 items that I brought home from Valley Forge. (thanks Eydie) ;)

We won't be able to make any final decisions on where exactly the money will be allocated until the raffle is over & we know how much we have to work with. At this point all I can do is assure you that ALL of the money will go towards the room and activities either shared by the members or an event sponsored by us. I am not keeping any percentage of anything for running this raffle and neither Don or Steve will be pocketing any money for their work on setting things up either. We're doing this for free because we enjoyed it immensely as did others. ;)

Here's a quote from the 3rd post on the 1st page of this thread. If you have anymore questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks! :)

I'm taking donations up until Oct 6th. ;)

For those of you that aren't aware of the reason behind the raffle, here's an explanation that Williebetmore had written up to describe it and it's purpose....

Timberly and I, along with several other AZBilliards forum members (and the owner of onepocket.org), organized a private room at this year's DCC. We had a private, 9 ft. table provided by Greg Sullivan, and many activities all week long: exhibitions and challenge matches with pro's, lessons from some hall of famers, giveaway tournaments for the members. We also had a celebrity Scotch doubles match for 2 of our members, who partnered with Efren Reyes and Jeanette Lee (played on the television table with a Sardo rack, and broadcast on BCN). It was a great opportunity for our internet community to get together and share in the activities we all love (and discuss endlessly on the AZBilliards forum).

Our room was not sponsored by AZBilliards.com, but rather was funded solely by the donations from our participating members (all pool fanatics who participate on the internet forum). This coming year (2006), Greg Sullivan has given us permission to have some "sponsors" for our room to help defray the cost - in hopes that we can use some of our money to fund a pro competition that can be taped by Accu-Stats (perhaps a rotation match between Efren and a top U.S. player).

We are seeking sponsors that would like to contribute some merchandise that we can auction to our members. All funds will be used for the room, the table, and prize money for any tournaments that we organize and sponsor. Other than our gratitude all we can offer in return is frequent mention of your product on the largest internet forum for true pool fanatics and students of the game - it is a truly amazing collection of extremely knowledgeable pool players who have a deep love for the game.

Craig, you're the best! Thanks for all that you've done. LOL, it's a good thing you don't have anything else to ship out... I think you guys had a tornado when you were trying to ship out the stuff to me and now these nasty storms while trying to get out the tee shirts! :( I hope everything is ok with your homes & business.

Than..oh wrong one. Craig you should indeed be gushing with pride, this is a great idea much better than having to sponge of somebody to set up the room, I only hope I will be there to soak up the atmosphere! :D

This raffle is for a party-room?
Limen, last yr at the DCC we had a private room for AZ billiards and 1-pocket.org members. This room contained a 9 ft pool table and was a week long meet & greet area for those of us here on the forum. We had a few mini 4 man tourney's where everyone won some money, we ordered pizza, and at any given time you never knew who was going to be in the room playing challenge matches, demonstrating, teaching, & even gambling. We had a banner that all the pro's signed and we even got Tony Stewart in the room to sign it.

This is not a party room in the sense that there's a keg and/or bar there and everyone is getting drunk and dancing. This room is about pool... all aspects of it... Greg Sullivan came in and gave a nice detailed explanation much like his thread last week on the pockets & cuts of the diamond pool tables, Tom Simpson was in doing jump shot clinics, Grady Matthews was teaching some 1-pocket secrets, Tina Pawloski, Sarah Rousey, Allen Hopkins, Shawn Putnam, and a many, many more stopped in to play challenge matches.

When there were no pro's or instructors in the room, the table was used for challenge matches between forum members. LOL, that table got a work out that week!
