The first stop of the Arizona Desert Classic Tour will be held on February 21/22, 2009 at Kolby's Corner Pocket in Tempe, Arizona. This will be a 1K$ added big table 8-ball event.

This is stop #1 of the 2009 season; therefore, all players will be required to pay the one-time $50 membership fee. Entry for this tournament will be staggered.

If you are from Arizona and currently rated, the breakdown is as follows:

A (10 or above)- $70 entry
B (8 or 9) - $50 entry
C (7 or below) - $35 entry

Sidepots are optional.

If you are not currently rated in Arizona, you will have to start out as an A player, until your play is reviewed. Depending on your playing ability, you may be rated A, B, or C for future tour events.

Please feel free to contact Jimmy Mendoza or I should you have any questions.

Hey Dennis,

Thank you to you and Jimmy for running the tour again this year. I like the idea of the staggered entry fees.

I will be attending more events this year than last year although it has nothing to do with the staggered entry fees. :)

Great, I hope to see you there.

At the recommendation of several tour members, we have amended the dress code to allow Arizona Desert Classic Tour t-shirts to be worn during the tourneys.

From page 4 to page 1...........just like that. B-U-M-P it up for some 8 Ball

I am sure they will have a good turnout, as they seem to have a good turnout at most Kolby's Events last year.

Since I am technically not on any rating sheet that I am aware of and every place that I play at tells me I am not on the list, does this apply to me. I am sure a few guys would tell you that I do not play remotely close to an A rated player even on my best day. Does that mean I still have to play as an A player in the first event?? I guess that only affects the entry, in which case I do not mind the extra 20 if that's what it is.

Excuse me, but I am the same guy you beat 9-0 in the round robin and you say I am a B player?? I used to be a B player but I am not too sure about that any more but if it will only cost me an extra 20 to be an A player then where do I sign up?? lol

Do you think you a are truly a 6 or 7? I was thinking 8 speed, considering you did take part in the king of 8's. I watched you play a little bit during that round robin.

I would say B player, which would be $50 entry. I wouldn't make you pay the 70$ since you are unrated, as i don't think that would be fair either. I believe Brady's evaluation and trust his judgment. If i'm mistaken, and you think a 7 rating is more accurate, please let me know and we will make some adjustments and have others evaluate your game. Just trying to be fair to everyone involved.

I think he is an 8 so he would fall into the B category. Also, when I beat him 9-0 he was at his house sitting on his couch. LOL. IMO B is the proper rating for him.

Yeah, Justin is a good 8. He's on the list to be added at the next meeting on April 4th as an 8.

Bump it up....
