There's conflict between deciding factors. Which will win out, capitalism or the desire to win?
It's my understanding that Sky Network gets major reach on its broadcasting. The people behind Sky want advertising dollars, and Earl brings the audience and hence the sponsors.
It's my understanding the US participants have had it with poor chemistry and negative antics. I heard Earl was most detrimental in the US practice room and when "off screen".
Think Ryder Cup... The US finally won last time, and won without Tiger. Why? Team unity is where the smart money is. Everyone was more of an equal and they made a concerted effort to do as much together as possible and be as positive as possible.
Earl is incredible, but maybe his team unity chemistry is no longer built for this format.
Who will win this tug of war? I'd guess 2:1 he's not invited.
