IMO, running big numbers in 14.1 on Diamond tables is by far the toughest challenge in the game of pool.

Please show your support to Bob Jewett, Dana Stephenson, Dennis Walsh, all of the players - and all of the people that work so hard to put this event together every year!
 
I won't be around for any of the prelims, but I'm coming in that Thursday so I should be able to watch all of the tournament matches. One of my favorite things to do every year. Despite the awkwardness of being in a small silent room for some of the matches.

It's not too bad really it's just that there are so few people in there sometimes spectating because it's small space that it almost feels like i'm intruding into something private. It's also terribly awkward when it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop and random people keep opening up the door and peaking inside and going back out again.

I'm not even there, but it is so quiet sometimes, I find myself whispering when I am doing the commentary... then all of a sudden you have the loud speakers interrupt the dead silence. That always happens at the worst times, too! lol
 
I'm going to try to enter this event if I get time. I have been putting a TON of time into my one pocket game, and totally neglecting 14.1. I do love the game and feel the need to at least try, who knows? I might pop off a number :)

I don't know about you, but when I want to use that little room, I first check to see if anyone's in there. Then, I like to close the door and latch it, to prevent those random people from peeking inside and going back out again. This way I can take care of bidness and catch up on some reading material at the same time, all in private. Oh, and before you sit down, make sure there's T.P.!

Due to other responsibilities, I am never able to get to DCC. It's just too soon after the holidays - I'm either broke - or well on my way to getting there. There is a small chance that I can get to VF this year - a very small chance - and as of right now it's a definite maybe.
