In addition to the tournament prize for a 147, there is an accumulating prize, now at 40,000 pounds - Total 50,000 pounds :D

threads belong in the Snooker sub-forum.

Snaphot, you may be technically correct but had Scaramouche not posted these snooker threads here, I wouldnt have:

A. clicked the links and then I wouldn't have seen the absolutely brilliant talent these players have.

B. watched a bunch of snooker videos and gained an appreciation for a game that combines some of the best features of many of the pool games I am more familiar with.

C. looked into where there might be a snooker table in my area.

D. Given a well-deserved greenie to the OP.

Thanks Scaramouche!

And, this is the "Main Forum" of a site called AZBilliards - I'd say the Snooker World Championship deserves its own thread, especially when there are an insufferable number of threads on regional American pool comps.

Higgins looking well out of sorts against Liang: slumping posture, red eyes, dejected gaze. I don't know his personal habits, but perhaps there was some (over)celebration of 420 day yesterday;)?

They have Olympic standard drug testing

I saw a pic of Higgins getting out of a taxi and he was clearly drunk. I found it pretty funny.
Anyway, how things change... hendry in the first frames played poorly and then he knocks a 147... unfortunately I watched the first three frames and then I decided to go out to play pool and I missed the 147, unlucky..

I suspect Higgins' is old school - 12 pints of pish and a deep fried pizza.

Absolutely tremendous match though. He's a jammy bugger, as all great champions are. Robertson will win this at a canter, which is the dullard's top speed, sadly.
