2015 World Chinese 8 Ball Masters field looks amazing

Is it over? All I'm seeing are weird Chinese commercials on a loop

2015 World Chinese 8-Ball Masters will take place at Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium in China from 5th-8th January.

I still can't find a link to the stream!! I need a pm I guess.

On the rules explanation, it says: "If there should be any tie matches, shot-out is the method to determine the winner of each match."

Does anyone know what the format for this shootout is?

Potts just squeaked by Wang Yun (I think) 13-12, with the match ending with only 25 seconds left on the match clock.

Maybe Mr. Potts is vincible.

He was leading 12-10 and needed one game to win the match. He dogged an easy eight in the side to prolong the match. He's good but he's no Superman that can't lose. Hey, everyone has some chinks in their armor.

Yup, missed that easy 8 in the side to let Wang get to 12-11, then missed a 4-ball in the corner in the next game to let it go to 12-12. I couldn't tell whether he could see the 4-ball completely or had to try to spin it a bit.

But both of them played really well in most of the games I watched. Ever hear of the Chinese player?

i watched Darren shoot a few balls down the rail...those pockets look like they play real tight.

damn , woke up and see that the chinese are 11-2 thus far

From the scoreboard you cited in post #93, it looks like the Chinese have played in 20 matches so far. Four of those matches involved two Chinese players, so they had both a win and a loss in those matches. In the other 16 matches, it looks like 11 wins for China and 5 wins for "rest of the world."

I remember reading somewhere (Potts' blog maybe) that the top Chinese players did not play in the tournament the last couple of years for some reason. It looks like they brought out the big guns for this years' tournament though...
