In case you missed it, Ronnie absolutely thrashed Neil Robertson in the semi-finals today.

Beating him 6-0 and outscoring him 518-80. Here's the link.

This is a tough one, but my mother only taught me two things. Always wear clean underwear, and never bet against Ronnie O'Sullivan in the finals. Not sure what the race is in the finals, but I like Ronnie to win -3
 
I was hoping to see Mark Selby in the finals, seeing as how great he was playing throughout the tournament. I also didn't expect Robertson to get steam-rolled--the guy is too good a player to get whitewashed in my opinion. But then again, Ronnie is the best snooker player in the world today, and the best pure shooter in all cue sports today.

Still, a Ronnie vs. Trump final is as good a final as you can get. Judging from their match at the 2014 UK Championship and 2015 World Grand Prix, this final will be a cracker.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the Final is best of 17 frames (race to 9), split into two sessions:

Afternoon session -- 13:00 local time = 6 am USA east coast time

Evening session -- 19:00 local time = noon USA east coast time
 
Ronnie put on a clinic against Roberston today.
He has
Supreme cue ball control.
Supreme speed control and consistency, always the right side of the blue.
Supreme tactical game, he can put you in deep from just about anywhere.
Supreme break building skill, he splits the balls better than anyone ever.
Supreme accuracy on balls near the cushion or tight angles to the center pockets.
Yep he is simply the best ever to pick up a cue, if anyone is in any doubt they need to watch that match and then go and play the game to see for themselves :)

Spot on. I love me some pool, and my favorite player is Efren. But Ronnie is (as you put it) simply the best ever to pick up a cue.

And don't just watch that match if you disagree. Watch it, and then know, that he's 40.
 
Thanks for the link to the match,,,,I haven't had much success finding a decent link.

I seem to play a ball or two better after watching the Rocket.
 
Ronnie steals the first frame 58-51 after Trump plays a poor safety shot, which allowed Ronnie to clear out from the green.
 
Trump makes frame winning break of 42. Tied 1-1

So far the standard hasn't been very high, but I heard that might be due to the conditions. Table appears to be playing tough(er).

You guys notice that guy Ronnie is playing in the finals Trump is sponsored by Burger King he prolly gets all the free whoppers he can eat :)

Ronnie plays a tight snooker behind the brown. Trump is forced to kick hard and makes a good hit, but sells out the frame.

Ronnie leads 5-3 into the break. 4.5 hours till the next session.

Its free. That's why I said you need adblocker installed. Otherwise you'll get countless pop ups phishing for your information.

The first time you click on the link, that is an advertisement. Do not put your credit card details there. Simply close the tab, go back and click on the 3.30pm slot again. :thumbup:
