How can a single city beat a group of States? :confused:
 
Bank pool will give way to one pocket until 5:30 PM on Monday. About twenty players remain in the bank pool event, including Gorst and Melling. Less surprisingly, Brumback, SVB, Justin Bergman, Justin Hall, Orcullo, Kiamco, Thorpe, Runnels and Glenn "Piggy Banks" Rogers are still in with a few others.
 
Kazakis on to the Bigfoot semis where he will meet either Biado or Gorst.
 
After three strong racks and a win in an epic safety battle, Gorst has tied it up at 8-8.
 
Very hard to watch. Biado, who has slightly outmaneuvered Gorst, is dogging his brains out. What is it about Derby City that annually brings out the worst in his game? He had probably had a good shot at running out each of racks 13 through 16, but just can't run the balls, missing twice in some racks.

Hang on, Fedor just missed an almost straight ten ball, giving Biado his first rack in half an hour. Painful stuff. If this is the level the winner of this match will show against Kazakis in the semis, Alex will waltz into the finals.

Looks like Biado is about to run out for an 11-8 win ..... or not, Biado can't finish the deal and Fedor is now within 10-9. I hope the young Russian beats him now. Biado just doesn't deserve to win playing like this. Get him kid!

Rack 20 was more of the same. Biado had control of the table but couldn't manage the runout.

Double hill, and then it's my bedtime. Thankfully, this laborious struggle that started almost half an hour late, is almost over.
