2022 World Snooker Championship (Apr 16th - May 2nd)

There was some discussion by the commentators a year or two ago about how the balls were breaking. In one match, the balls were doing the classic 14.1 reassembly thing where they came back together. Of course, if the balls are tight, that's impossible. In other matches several balls are always loose and there is often a shot to one side or the other.

I used to play where the standard break was on the red one up from the corner. I guess it was to get more reds open.
I have never seen this happen before, but I thought I would share this amazing break by Doug Mountjoy.

Here is a good video capturing some of the more interesting parts of the O'Sullivan/Trump finals including three "referee moments".
I was curious to see if anything came of the accusations thrown at Ronnie.
In an earlier match, he was caught on camera making a hand gesture.
Didn't see one in the final.
So far, nothing on World Snooker site - but they often take time investigating before posting any outcomes from disciplinary actions.
Other times, they don't deem it worthy enough to make a fuss as well and some minor incidents are just dealt with via smaller fines.

I got the impression that Ronnie was none too impressed with this referee.

Dave <-- takes Ronnie's side as a general rule

I still find it funny when Rocket , displeased with the cueball restoration , offered his cue and said well you shoot it. Found it funny when Trump was upset with the ref who was warning Ronnie. Ronnie is a perfectionist and expects no less from the referees.
