2023 World Snooker Championship / April 15th - May 1st

Luca fought like a Viking warrior….now he’s crying his eyes out.
❤️

hell of a run
beat three multi time world champs , the comebacks, the attacking play
beyond impressive
The amusing part was his relation of his first match with Ricky Walden which he won 10-9. Being just that close to out again.
Then Mark Williams 13-11.....had to been grueling.
To get to Ronnie 13-10.....Did Ronnie miss anything?
Then Si Juahui 17-15......Have you seen Si shoot? Hole E Carp.
Then the Epic Battle with Selby....Definitely a bad dude(on the table) no mater what you call him 😉
HUGE just HUGE.

First he controlled his cueball as Stephen Hendry prescribed. Then he controlled his mind as Selby forced it.

watched it once and saw zero problem.
I'm not an instructor.
Sure wish I had whatever problem we're looking for.

GREAT SEMI FINAL & GREAT FINAL

Really enjoyed this year's Championship

I really don't enjoy DAZN, They're a ripoff X3!

This has been a topic of discussion recently in the ask instructor forum. Care to elaborate?
Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke. The thread I started 10 years ago because of a prevailing opinion that looking at the cue ball as you strike it was fundamentally wrong. Initially it created a lot of background noise. Some with the least true knowledge made lots of noise. I have at times tried to update the original post to save the drudgery of wading through the noise. Merely providing the evidence as I uncovered it.
It is a fact that Stephen Hendry looks at the cueball last. He speaks to it and says Ronnie does the same. I avoid saying what I think a player is doing although I have and it invariably finds a poster that sees something else. Heck even Willie Hoppe had people tell him he didn't know what he was looking at when he spoke up for cueball last.
Since Stephen has addressed the variable of cueball object ball last pointing out that Judd Trump was object ball last. I am noticing more good looks at the players eye pattern with high definition camera work. At this time I try to abstain from opining but merely provide the evidence that the individual can interpret. The DAZN coverage gave a good look at every players eye pattern on occasion.
Cool Hand Luca put on a display of immaculate cue ball control that rivals Ronnie's.....wait a minute he beat Ronnie.😉 Stephen Hendry and Ronnie share the record for World Champion at 7. Selby is at 4.
Careful observation showed me where he looks.
He is not alone and the denial crowd won't want to know how many of the top snooker players are focused on the contact of the cue tip with the cueball. 🤷
