can we use phen tips?

Hey Chris,

Phenolic tip is allowed for jump cues and jump cues are allowed.

Phenolic tip is not allowed for break cue. However, we are not going around checking everyone's break tips. It will be on honor system but your opponent (or anyone else who have a problem with you using it) may call the ref to verify. The ref will warn you and you will have to use another break tip/cue.

damn sucks
i was prolly going to go .
but no phen break cues sucks.

Chris, that's been the CSI / BCAPL policy for all events that our equipment is used for two years, which includes the BCAPL Nationals, Bar Table, US Open 10-Ball and US Open One Pocket for example. Phenolics on break cues rip up the cue ball something fierce. Seriously the wear and tear on the balls are horrible.

Dude, you break plenty awesome! Little girl like me use leather tip and have no problem

It's too good of event for you to pass up over a tip - fool :grin-square:
