Of course- it's in the way that you use it and werewolves.

Pink Floyd- have a cigar.
Atlanta rhythm section- so into you.
Cliff Richard- devil woman.

Way too many to name.

When I need to get pumped up in a match I put on my headphones and put "aint nothin' like you" by Jim Jones, Mos Def and the Black Keys on repeat.

"They told me pain only shows you where you goin
You get to laugh then that shows you where you been
And when you get the cash that only shows you how to sin
like when you gettin fast money and you blow it in the wind"

I played two tough sets on Sunday, races to 10 and had this song on loop the entire time and never got tired of it. It gets me juiced!

For me it's the hits of the 60's and 70's with an emphasis on Motown. Brings back memories of the early 80's when I played my best and when the owner "old guy" used to have that on the radio at the pool room. From what I've heard, however, the music with the best tempo to play pool to is Barry Manilow. I shit you not.

The "Sound of Silence". Don't really like the distraction. Like to hear the sound of the tip hitting the CB, balls hitting each other and the balls dropping into the pocket. Even like hearing the balls roll along the cloth and bouncing off of the rails.

Would have liked playing in Ames.

I like Gov't Mule as well. I also like Mumford Sons, Ray LaMontagne, Van Morrison and a few others. I have also dabbled in listening to classical while playing and enjoy that. And I am not an old timer.;) I was curious as to what Jennifer Berretta listens to on her IPod. Every time i see her shooting, she is listening to it. Maybe someone on here knows her and has that answer?

This past weekend I had The Big 4 playing on DVD the entire weekend as I played. In case you are not familiar with the bands that make up the Big 4 they are Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. Awesome show.

MC, You and I could definitely take a road trip without arguing about who has control of the radio.
