3 cushion tournament in n.y. world's best 6 players, top prize 150k!!!

I guess this event is going to be in someone's house. One way to guarantee security i guess. I'll definitely watch this.

From Bert van mannen

This event will not be played in a public venue, but in a (relatively small) billiard room, purpose-built on a private estate. I understand people's disappointment. But there will be a stream, and you can see every point made.

.....
and i bet you can buy the dvd eventually too.....

Yeah, I don't see much to complain about. An event that has to be considered a premier one, given the line-up and players, on Us soil...

And we can see from the comfort of our own choosing?

Its all good.

You can watch just about anything nowadays on a screen. But there’s a reason people fly halfway across the world to watch the Olympics, see a play on Broadway, or just attend a baseball game.

I spend enough time in front of screens, and frankly, have little interest in watching another event remotely. But I would have been willing to fly to the East Coast, incur lodging, food, and event expenses to be there and experience an event like this first hand.

Nothing compares to being there in person. But that’s just me.

In-person viewing absolutely has its positives, I agree.

But this event deserves both ooohs and awwwwws, not just awwwws.

Seems as though this Mercer is a billionaire
And the tournament is being put on at his estate

Owls nest Mansion, a room is being constructed on site for the tables

A Patron of billiards (and not in the English sense...go Latin).

Amazing. Chapeau, monsieur!

chapeau, monsieur.

I'm glad to see Pedro was chosen.

I've been friends with Pedro for many years. He had one of the best runs I've ever seen. I streamed one of his tournaments for him many years ago.

He was playing the Mexican national 3 cushion champion and was down 14 to 29 going to 32 points.

He ran 18 and out to win.

This Mercer individual could possibly be the financial markets billionaire.
The one who owns things like Breitbart.com in petty cash.
His daughter recently jettisoned Steve Bannon.
Her dad donated $11M to Ted Cruz's campaign in 2016.
Again, if this is the correct Mercer.
